Football Folks know the importance of defense.  Without the terrific defensive effort, this team, it's individual members, and it's coaches
have put forth...the Eagles would not be where they are this season.
Just to watch an Eagle practice gives you a good understanding of why this team is presently being successful.  The repetition, the patience and the enthusiasium is really fun to watch.

[/quote]We know we wouldn't be where we are without our defense. They are lights out against the run. We are going to improve further against the pass. If Perry maks a return we will even be better although Bryson has done an admirable job in his absence. It really helped to get Andrew back after his elbow injury and he has done a very good job moving from safety to corner when needed. Our linebackers are the best in the area, including Ned's vaunted defense. Offense wins games but defense wins championships! Our defense will carry us into at least the 2nd round of the playoffs.
On the other hand, our offense is avgering 30pts. a game. Not bad for a slow, boring, I'd rather watch paint dry, offense as many posters were saying at the beginning of the year. 8)
