Just think that Angleton has shown more so far in 2 games against tougher opponents than Dayton's one. I applaud Dayton's great comeback victory, but what got them down 28-7 midway through the 2nd before [b]Elkins collapse/Dayton's adjustments?[/b] Angleton thoroughly dominated 2 very good, playoff contending teams, so maybe that's what they are going off of with the predictions.

FB looked like they were running out of gas by the 4th. quarter.. or they were easily discouraged when a 4-A team starts putting up points on them. whatever the reason Dayton got the win.. I am on the fence for the game Friday.. but I really hope Dayton wins...  :D

I didn't expect Angleton to execute the offense this good in just 2 games. They put 41 points on a BWood defense that by all reports was supposed to be one of the better defenses in 24-5A, which has Pearland and Clear Springs in it. It could have been worse because they had one TD called back. I hope they can continue the success, but sometimes with early success you tend to hit a snag and take a step back. It that happens against Dayton, then so be it, but I think Dayton may have to play a near flawless defensive game to slow down Angleton.

On a good note, weather should be excellent Friday night with temperatures in the mid to high 70's and clear. Almost "football weather"!!

[/quote]  I hope Angleton doesn't make the same mistake Elkins did and overestimate themself's and underestimate the Bronco's ! Really don't see Angleton dominating Dayton no matter how great the previous 2 teams you played were .

[/quote] Thanks for the info.. Liberty radio station broadcast all of Dayton and Liberty's games. And they to also give updates on area teams. http://www.kshn.com/ Dayton game, turn your speaker all the way to the left, and Liberty game turn your speaker all the way to the right.. Cause they are broadcast live at the same time.
BH, Hardin, Hull-Daisetta  are live audio webcast..  just click on the school mascot.

I don't see a blowout for either team. I expect a close game. High scoring, but close. I don't think Angleton will let up if they get a lead. Friendswood made a run there late in the 3rd, only to see Angleton run away in the 4th. Bwood scored a late 3rd quarter TD to close the gap 35-14, only to see Angleton score again in the 4th and then Angleton's back ups closed the game with a time killing drive to close it.

If your son played at Dawson/Manvel, I'm sure you know where the stadium is at. Coach Wells at Dawson likes playing there during the playoffs and Manvel played LaMarque there last year. Dawson and Manvel are just down the road.

If your son played at Dawson/Manvel, I'm sure you know where the stadium is at. Coach Wells at Dawson likes playing there during the playoffs and Manvel played LaMarque there last year. Dawson and Manvel are just down the road.
[/quote] Yeah, been there several times... Last year our (Manvel) season ended there. Coach Wells love that stadium... He would play the state championship there if he could.  By the way you guys might meet up again down the line.

Don't remind me.  :(  Dawson handed our butts to us in bi-district last year and it looks like they have another strong team. Angleton is a different team now, so if we're fortunate to make the playoffs again and meet Dawson, so be it.  8)
