Junior College Tryout/Showcase

Mountain View Junior College in Dallas, Texas will be conducting multiple tryouts/showcases throughout the state of Texas during the month of April.  Our sole purpose of having these showcases is to overturn every rock and shake every bush to find the most talented baseball players.  All 2011, 2012, and 2013 graduates are welcome to attend. 

Showcase Dates and Locations:
Sunday April 3rd at Desoto High School (Dallas area)
Sunday April 10th at Cedar Park High School (Austin area)
Sunday April 17th at Flour Bluff High School (Corpus Christi area)

Camp Itinerary:
11:00 am……………….Pitchers and Catchers Registration
11:15 am……………….Welcome from Coach Harrington
11:20 am……………….Stretch and Warm-up
11:30 am……………….15 Pitch Bullpen          
12:30 pm……………….Positional Players Registration
12:45 pm……………….Stretch and Warm-up
1:00 pm………………….60’s
1:30 pm………………….Batting Practice
3:00 pm………………….Defensive evaluation
4:00 pm………………….End of Showcase

Camp Fee: (Paid day of event)
$25 for trying out at 1 position
$35 for trying out at 2 positions
$45 for trying out at 3 positions

Pre-registration:
All players must pre-register. We will only allow 60 players to attend each camp.  Once we have 60 players pre-registered, that camp will be full and we will not allow any other participants. To pre-register, send an email to [email protected] with the players full name, high school, graduation year, position, player cell phone, parent email address, High School coaches email, select coaches email, provide which camp he will be attending and most importantly---- provide current stats and any awards received during high school seasons.

*Head Coach Chris Chernisky is a former Division 1 University Head Coach with over 17 years of college coaching experience. 
*The Mountain View College Sports Complex is just over 2 years old and considered one of the best in our conference.
* In the past 10 seasons, 7 national champions have come from our conference.
*Our campus is in the heart of Dallas.  Only 10 minutes away from downtown Dallas, 15 minutes away from the new Cowboys stadium and only 15 minutes away from the Texas Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
*Inexpensive tuition close to $500 for one semester. (12 credit hours)
