  2. We had a great turnout for the showcase on Sunday.  Thank you to all that attended.  Eagle fan 05- We had 15 pitchers that threw above 80mph. Our top velocity was 88mph from a 2013 grad.  We also had two 2014 grads that threw 85mph.  bmtball- Thank you for your post.  It was a great one.  Our next showcase will be mid to late November.  When the date and location is set, I will be sending out information.
  3. Showcase is full and walk up registration will not be allowed.  If you would like to be put on the waiting list incase someone cancels, please email me at [email protected]
  4. Would you pay $10 to work out in front of 1 college coach?  If so, then $150 to work out in front of 15 college coaches and 3 MLB scouts is worth it to you.  But everyone is allowed to an opinion. DaBears stated--- “If you are a good player then you will be found.” I do not agree with this.    Please let me tell you about a story of 2 players that Mountain View Junior College signed……  one player batted .550 with 12 HR in 4A, catcher with a 1.9 pop, and bats left handed.  Another is a RHP/1B that was 1st team all district in 3a all 4 years of high school.  He is consistently 88mph and is 6’4, 230lbs. Mountain View College is a D3 junior college and both above players did not receive any athletic scholarship.  But with these stats and being a good player they should have been found right?  If both these players would have come to one of our workouts like the one on the 14th, then they would have received a scholarship and been found.  To GTBbaseball: We are currently working on launching a website and gathering information to answer questions exactly like yours.  Some camps have a huge amount of talent and some camps have a minimum amount of talent.  An average showcase we will have 70 players and about half are seniors.  This summer, off the top of my head, we have had about 25 seniors commit to college.  The workout is a pro-format style.  All players will be evaluated by a college coach and have a 5 min sit down with that college coach to discuss their performance of the day.  I hope this answers your question. We are just trying to create a good product.
  5. 65 players registered in only 72 hours. If you are interested in attending.... please register ASAP. This camp will be get to maximum capacity soon.

  8. I have a feeling Babino will find his way into the lineup next year.... might be at catcher... might be somewhere else.
  9. District 20-4a defensive player of the year for two years running Anthony Babino and district 24-2a defensive player of the year Bryce Higginbotham commit to Mountain View Junior College. We wanted defense to be stressed this recruiting class and it is easy to say we got it from SE Texas.       Talent added with hard work is a great combination.  Everyone knows about Anthony's and Bryce's talent... but the aspect of their game that I LOVE is their intense hustle and all out, all the time type of play.
