Things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving:

    1. The health of my Family and the many blessings that the GOOD LORD has bestowed on us
    2. That my INDIANS continue to roll in the playoffs

Manvel is just too solid all around. Athletes everywhere, good coaching and battle tested in district 24-4A. I know match ups often dictate games, but seeing what our 6th place team, Texas City, did to PNG earlier in the year, Manvel is too much.    Manvel 35- PNG 28
That is OK, let everyone keep doubting PNG.  This is the playoffs and anything can happen and has just ask any of the teams there picked to go deep in the playoffs and got knocked out in the first or second round.    Anything can happen on game night.

Good Luck NDNS!!!!

Thanks,  Kville_Kats  for your support.  That is us also, we support all area teams that make it to the playoffs.

Also you are not a Homer just cause your from Kirbyville, my husband graduated from Spurger.  ;)  Nothing wrong with small town boys.

In my opinion PNG and Manvel seem to match up better overall than the PNG & Willis game. I don't care what happened when PNG and TC played early in the season. I think that was like our 2nd or 3rd game. Since then alot has changed and players have changed at some positions. Since these changes the Indians have gone undefeated. I think that in itself has alot to say. This will be another hard fought battle and the team that is most prepared and who plays ball without turnovers will win.

Yep, we lost to TC and the side judge!!! Worst single official I have ever seen. Go back and read the PNG TC threads. TC's game winning FG was aided by two fantom Pass Interference calls with less than 30 seconds in the game.

Central beat the hell outta Livingston and we lost to Livingston by 2. Beat Central by a bunch though. So go figure. Hopefully this will turn out the same.

This will be a very good game. May be another last one standing game.

One thing I know about Coach Brandon Faircloth....the Indians will be "primed" and ready for battle.  I love the fact that so many feel Manvel will win....please, keep thinking that...please.  I see a lot of reference to the TC game...that was in preseason and a LOT has changed at PNG.  These boys are hungry and will take this one. PNG has the BEST coaching staff, athletes, and talent in Texas as far as I'm concerned. PNG wins this one and never looks back!

I'm always baffled when I see posts that seem to use this as a defense as to why you may have lost? Do you not honestly believe Manvel or pretty much any other team that's in the playoffs still hasn't vastly improved as well? The officiating excuse is just that...a poor excuse why one's team lost a game. We all have to take our lumps but dont use that as a reason you lost...it makes you look bad as well as a poor sport!

I think Chase ought to be able to have a big game this week. When Manvel has played against decent team's, the rb's have fared well. The Lamarque back had over 300 yard's rushing against them. They will also give it up through the air. I have heard from someone who has seen both team's play that we will have our hand's full. He said if our defense can just play close to the way we played against Central then we will be fine. He said that if we pressure the qb's they become very inconsistent throwing the ball. He also said that Manvel will have a tough time stopping our offense but they do have the athlete's to stop us unlike Willis. So I look for another exciting game.

I completely understand that Manvel has improved as well as PNG has. I made reference to a "pre-season" game that seems like people are basing their opinion on. You NEVER saw me make reference to the officiating, now did you?  To be in this round of the playoffs, you have to be good.  Before you start make accusations about my post, i.e. the officiating excuse, you need to read more carefully...no comment from me on officiating at all.

I've heard the same thing about both qb's.  When they get pressured, they lose their accuracy and it affects them mentally.

Lighten up there Sally...my comment in reference to officiating was from a post not too far back on this thread. I don't have to quote every single previous post to comment on it. After all, this is America where I have the right to express my opinion how I choose not how you see fit fella.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
