I grew up in the 60's and 70's, 50% were stoned out the gourd.

Some of the young people I deal with today are some of the brightest and work their tail off.

Are any of them your boss, just wondering?
I guess you can say they are my boss. They run businesses, entrepreneurs, plumbers, contractors, and tech people, all under 35, making payrolls.

You people are cracking me up. If they want to look stupid and stay in the locker room the I say, who cares.  I bet some of these same people that are complaining are the same people that are sitting in the stands complaining to the person next to them (about their perfect little angel not making cheerleader) rather than partcipating in the anthem anyway.
I agree with the statement about people complaining but not the statement about staying in the locker room. By you saying "who cares" That is the attitude of this generation, which is sad. Pretty much sums up the generation of today. Can't wait till some of you get older. Your thought process will change. But guess what? Your kids will not be there to help you in time of need. All they want you to do is die so they can get some money which they don't have because they spent it on you.

Seems to me you have forgot where you came from and the people who got you there. Those young people will get old someday. What will you do then? I know get rid of them and hire young people right. All about the almighty dollar. See the guys your age have paid their dues.

I just asked your thoughts on who you thought was more productive, I didn't say the younger ones were. You jumped to that conclusion. I'm just saying that the younger generation is painted with this brush of being lazy, me generation and wanting mom and dad's money. My experience, this is a myth.

Respect is something about 30% of our population has never heard of. What a shame.
30%  ???  Check the last few years of presidential election results.  Except for the last election
over 50% of population dont vote.  Biggest show of respect is to use the rights given to you at the
cost of veteran.  Blood and Life sacrifices.  The " I deserve it" generations have been here for awhile.
There are exceptions within those generations.  They are the ones who have seen or felt the price paid.

Just my opinion.
I know this maybe on the wrong blog and i should have posted it on Rush limbaugh or somewhere. But speaking of respect and we just had the election I have a question. Why doesn't THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES get the respect he deserves. I know some of us don't like some decisions he makes, his skin color, or what ever the reason may be. This is not the first President that we have not agree with 100% of the time and I have never witness anything like what this man has gone thru. Like I said I know this is probably the wrong place for this but just reading some of the statements on here about Crosby not coming out for the National athem. I began to wonder being a veteran and serving this country why do we treat our President like that or anyone and then turn around and get mad at a coach are kids for not coming out for the National Athem is mind boggling to me.

With me being from dayton and I bleed purple, it just bothers me how we can drag kids into stupid stuff and not even think how we act. As much as i hate saying this i really don't think crosby was trying to be disrespectful to the National Athem, having the other team wait for you is just a mind game that some coaches try to use on the other team. in know way is that team trying to disrespect anything or anybody but we are quick to blame the kids and it is not fair. it is good kids in crosby just like dayton and bad ones in dayton just like crosby. i would just like to say before we throw some young kids under the bus that really don't even understand lets just think before we we say the kids did this and they did that. It is always not the case. I will get off my soap box now. Go Broncos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I gave you Karma for this one 92. If I could give you more I would. You're right, probably not the place for a post like this, but I agree 1000%. All the people in this thread that have bashed Crosby and BH for not coming out for the Anthem are more than likely bashing the the President of our country on a daily basis. It seems like it's the norm these days. The other side did the same thing with our previous President (although not as ferociously). What's our country coming to? One big Jerry Springer show?

Back to football. I also agree with your latter post. I don't believe any team/coach/player was intentionally disrespecting the flag or the country. It's like you said....mind games. That's all it was. The problem is though, by coming out late, they leave themselves open for this type of criticism. And I'm sorry, but unlike some other posters have stated in this thread, it is the sole responsibility of the coaching staff to get the team out in time. No referee, no knocks on the door, no text messages should have to be sent to get the team out. That's all BS!! Game starts at 7. Get your arse out there 2 minutes early for the tribute to our country. It's that simple.

Pretty much sums up the generation of today. Can't wait till some of you get older. Your thought process will change. But guess what? Your kids will not be there to help you in time of need. All they want you to do is die so they can get some money which they don't have because they spent it on you.

Sorry but I have to disagree with you because I am part of "this" generation.  It aint ALL of us.

Bleed, I understand your concern for the youth and it's troubling.

If we drugged tested students, teachers, law enforcement, clergy, refinery workers, business people between 1968-1978 from Spurger to Sabine Pass the ratio would be higher than it is today.

You make a good point.  But if this President would show respect for the flag himself by either saluting it or  covering his heart rather  than  his crotch salute then he would make getting respect easier for himself.  While he is indeed our leader---he should be more humble to this position and what it stands for.  I do sincerely respect the position of PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, but the person holding that position must honor and treat it with respect also.
