Starting soon, I dont know about ya'll but i cant wait!  Im at college in College Station, but I'll be coming home nxt weekend! I have had the fever since march!!

I took my buddy and ex gf's little brother Saturday, down in Anahuac at the bay! Dissapointed only saw one bird!

[/quote] Ditto on that.. We tried Toledo Bend Sunday did not fire a shot.. Lake is drying up ( River authority is drawing
it down to do some work on the dam )

I dont know if was because we hunted a different area but looks like more birds! Shot a limit at the refuge!

There are lots of teal in the freshwater marsh.  Easy limits.  And I have never seen so many whistling ducks!

There are a lot of teal down here at McFadden, but opening weekend might be a little dull. We didn't get enough rain this year in my opinion.
Little rain = salty water.
Salty water = little food.
We'll see how it turns out though. Hopefully we'll have a good migration to make for a good opening weekend!
