Wow! What a game! Congrats go out to the Broncos. Defense started a little slow but dominated the rest of the way. Great adjustments and a great effort. I guess somebody forgot to tell this team they're not supposed to go this far!

Let me give a shout out to the fans as well. Great crowd tonight. That was a 7000 seat visitor side. Had to be 6000 there. This team deserves the support!

Fun game to watch tonight.  Dayton, you better play your better QB for the majority of 4 quarters.  Just my opinion and nothing against #10, but that's a lot of pressure to put on a youngster and he does not have the running skills or size that P. has.

Man wished I could have that running back for El Campo for a few years.....what a stud.  Have very fast kids over there too.

Great game and great win for the defense.  El Campo is a scrappy lil'ball club.  By the way, I hate that pass play behind the line of scrimmage, HATE IT!  Gutsy call by Stewart to kick the field goal on short and inches.  That's why he gets paid the big bucks.

Very gutsy indeed! I was saying go for it! Go for it! Then after the field goal I was like...yea that was the right call.  ;D

Helluva a game to watch! I got there halfway through the first at Dayton was down 13-0, they played great ball the whole time I was there. On that 4th and inches I was saying "let ploch qb sneak for a yard and run the clock down" but the coach knows his team and has confidence in his kicker and defense! Great game guys!

Having one less day certainly showed in the first quarter.  Looked a little lethargic on defense letting them bust the two big plays early.  The defense came back to normal after that and El Campo couldn't get anything going.  Their defense played really well and their special teams had us pinned back most of the night and them starting around the 40 on every drive.  Missed some big plays on some uncharacteristic bad throws but made some really good throws as well.  In the end, too many weapons for the Dayton offense.  El Campo really limited the big play and they played a heck of a defensive game but the Broncos really dominated the second half and the 4th quarter.  The O-line really started to play in the second half.  Survive and advance.

Their defense was pretty stout....don't usually run into teams that are as athletic as we are but they were....well almost anyway.  Yea one dimensional for sure....and the pass interference....cmon man that's a no call in my book on a jump ball but whatever.

Could have gone either way but I happen to be looking at our defender and he did have both hands on the receivers jersey....i'm just sayn' :-\

Yea but there was no impeding on that punt errrr I mean pass.  I saw it too but thought it was ticky-tack.  A jumpball into double coverage and you call pass interference???  That pass had 5 second hangtime.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
