LaPorte is definitely a rushing team with 2495 yards on the ground, and only 785 passing yards.

Lee beat them before Kendrick Perkins rejoined the team lol
LP only has two players on the entire team.
RB Perkins and RB Webb that also plays some at DB.
LP does not have the speed on defense to stop PAM unless PAM implodes as I think we all can agree they are wont to do at times.
If PAM keeps their head about them and doesn't turn the ball over 3 or 4 times, then they will be able to move up and down the field on the Bulldogs in my opinion.
Lee was able to run the ball up the middle at times on PAM last night, which is a rarity for Lee.
A tem that is MUCH better than Lee at doing this will be able to have some success with it.

I think the Bulldogs will be able to run the ball, much like they did when they had Quentin Castille back there.
Perkins is just so big and tough to handle.  You need two or three guys there in the hole waiting on him or he will drag you for 4 or 5 yards.

I think PAM will win, because LP didn't impress me very much.  Like I say, they really only have the two players, and PAM has 10-15 guys that are really athletic and can play ball.

Going back to the game last year between these two, LaPorte basically beat PAM on three plays. When Perkins was in the game, they ran the ball downhill, on lead plays and things like that, when Webb was in the game it was outside runs, pitches and toss plays. They threw the ball to one reciever dont know if he is still there.  But they could not stop PAM on defense, It will be interesting.

I watched them play 3 weeks ago and they still run the same plays you mentioned.  Perkins (a beast) up the middle and Webb flying off tackle or around the ends. They don't pass a whole lot due to their running game, but when they, the QB is effective. The receiver you mentioned is probably the Terrebone kid as he caught a few passes during that game.  It should be a good match up.

Well i think we need a opinion from BOTH sides (LP homer).  its no secret that LP has advanced on a strong running back (even when i played).  and LP will continue to run the ball as always.  For those that dont know, Perkins is a talented player on the diamond thus why the first 2 games for LP were difficult to watch. As soon as he return to the field, well you see we've made the play-offs.  I'm interested in seeing him against the mighty PAM (so i've heard).  again NO secret LP will run the ball and run the ball and run the ball. you will see 8 passes but dont hold your breath on that total.  the d-fense aint fast but it gets the job done for 6 wins.  Last words, you only have to be better than your opponent on that day.  Good luck to both teams!

LP doesn't have the same offensive line this year that they had last year in my opinion.
LP will be able to run some on the fact that Perkins is the biggest guy on the field and can pund up the middle.
Webb is fast, but he is extremely averse to contact, so he won't make any extra yards.  He would dance out of bounds 5 yards befor a defender got to him against Lee.
LP only has one pass...a little 12 yard comeback route to Terrebone.
The qb is adequate.
If PAM can stop the run then it's katy bar the door.
I think LP will be able to run on them though.

If PAM's offensive coordinator decides to not do anything dumb, and just lets his athletes make plays, then PAM should be able to put up 50 or 60.  The fastest guy on LP's defense might be slower than the slowest guy on PAM's offense.

    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
    • See why I don't trust my Hogs?
    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
