Madisonville beat Navasota last night 54-50 to win the district championship. Taylor and Navasota flipped a coin today with Taylor winning the flip but elected to take the 3rd place seed in the playoffs. Probably a smart move, they avoid playing Orangefield or Hardin Jefferson and now play the winner from district 22-3A in the second round, yes I said second round. They get a bye because there is no district 23-3A...I think that's right!!!

I saw the game last night between Madisonville and Navasota, both teams are very solid. Region III is loaded this year, Taylor beat Navasota last week so they are solid as well. It's gonna be a tough road, but I believe 21-3A will have a huge say in who gets to the regional tournament.
