Carnahan starts Collegiate Ball with a Bang

Carnahan started his first game with Marion Military Insitute as DH in the 4 hole against Alabama Southern CC.  Although his team fell to Alabama Southern, Carnahan had a strong showing going 3-4 with two singles, a monster shot over the left field fence (350 ft) into a head wind that drove in two RBI's for the team's first HR.  He crossed the plate on his second single for another score.  He will also share catching duties with a sophmore from Selma, Alabama.

His PNG teammate, Mitch Todd, will get the start on the mound Thursday against Jones County JC.

My husband and I surpirsed Jon driving all night and staying up 36 hours to see his first game.  The look on his face when we pulled up made it all worth while.  We hope to do many road trips to support these guys.  Keep us in your prayers as we travel the roads between here and all parts of Alabama.  Will keep you posted on these two locals from PNG.
