Anyone notice UIL director Breithaupt's comments?

During 5A Katy-Pflugerville game, UIL director stated that this year's realignment will cause some controversy. About 20 brand new schools will be added to 5A which will cause a trickle down effect. Remember, they start at 5A and work down. The most interesting thing I caught was that he specifically mentioned West Texas and the "travel burden" that some teams will have.

I heard him talking during the other game and he said people always complain and he said it is more about who they have to play instead of how far they have to travel to play.

I believe it was stated something about adding a 4 th team out of districts to the playoffs.

Am I reading this right?  Are the 4A districts going to be sending 4 teams to the playoffs starting in 2008?  Are 3A and lower sticking with 3 teams (or less) to the playoffs?  Is this official?

Just maybe he had a son on a 4 th place dist.team. If they created some new districts & started 1 week earlier they could pull it off.Under the radar a 4th seed team could get red hot at the season end & knock out a overconfident #1 team.Happens all the time.In college who is #1 ????????That is what I thought who knows.
