Tyner hits a homerun!

West Brook and Texas A&M grad Jason Tyner hit his first homerun today after 1,220 Major League at bats!  It has been mentioned on ESPN and ESPNews several times today.

Interesting note from his wikipedia page

Prior to 2004, Tyner had a severe home run drought that dated back to Little League. Throughout 2,631 high school, college, minor and major league at-bats, Tyner went without a home run until he hit one in a minor league game in Richmond in 2004.

congrats to him! hit hit one off the very top of the wall in minnesota earlier this year, and got robbed of one a few years back in tampa bay. i was kinda scared that he would never get one...lol
