i think we won the toss on the site because we told coach thats where we prefered...i dont think a toss was needed for the series...both teams want 2-3

we cannot get big headed after splendora, 17k's is nice but the quality of hitters is about to go way up.  if we want to win this week we better practice some lights out defense mon tues and wed, and thurs fri keep the error column stuck on 0.  i think wharton has a supreme advantage because their coaches have seen us play the last two games we've played, and bc is going all on hearsay.

bc has to play to their strengths and worry about our brand of baseball and not react to theirs

tigerpride......I wish ya'll the best, but have to pull for my Cardinals in the playoffs.

If the coach's scouted the last two games, then they have missed a lot as well.  We have a couple more pitchers that were not exposed in those games.

The winner of the series will be the team with the least errors and that gets the timely hits.  I won't give away any trade secrets and look forward to some good games!!

Just because you are the only one, don't let that keep you from participating here!!  Its good to get some fresh posters from out of the triangle as well!!  The best way to have the area represented well is for both teams to play up to thier potentia!!  It would also be a treat for the fans!

Good Luck!

Directions to Lee College from Bridge City  ??? ??? ???

It is my understanding that the games will be played at Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown...otherwise known as Baytown Lee.

I believe it is on Market street and is reachable by going down Garth to the end.

BC has alot of talent.. If they play like they can, they can play with anyone..They have a tendency to make some errors in the infield. They must keep them to a minimum if they are going to compete at this level...

I believe Wharton will put the ball in play a little more than Splendora. BC's defense when they had the plays, made them. Besides Warner's quick throw to the plate early in the game to save a run, their 3B Robertson made a crucial play at 3rd on a slow roller that could have led to a big inning, but the youngster made it.

Stringer can beat Wharton, if that happens, Meeks and Hicks will have to get it done. It will be a good series.

looking over the big picture I will go with BC by 4 runs.....Whatron has a good team but has just "not been there the last few years in the final four"!

that's true we haven't been..but from what i understand BC graduated 7 starters...hard to go back to state with that much expierence leaving...just saying...last year we got past Yoakum in a hard 3-game series and ended up getting swept by Liberty Hill in Area...so this isn't new to us, we know the feeling...

tigerpride08,

Did your team play any "warmup" games between the end of district and now??

Of course, being "runners up" in our district did not allow time for a warm up game, unless you count Splendora.

yes we did...we played #3 in 4A Montgomery and lost 8-1...wasn't our best game...made 3 errors that were costly...and trust me, Coach C. gave us quite a yelling after the game, so we are practicing hard this week and hopefully we can play our best ball this week...

tigerpride........you represent your team/school very well.  But my heart and my support have to be for the Cardinals in this series.

I never wish someone plays badly so that my team will win.  I like to see them both play well and the Cardinals prevail.  With that, I still wish you the best of luck and look forward to a great series.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
