Bore-mont Enterprise #2: HJ beats Silsbee in playoff???? You would never know!

After the SNAFU of not printing a story about HF upsetting Silsbee on Friday night to force a playoff game between HJ and Silsbee last night you think the Bore-mont Enterprise Sports would at least have a write-up in Tuesday's paper about the big playoff game between HJ and Silsbee, huh?

NOTHING!  NOTHING!  NOTHING!

The only thing in the paper was the following:

Monday's Game

H-J vs. Silsbee at Vidor, late

THE GAME WAS OFFICIALLY OVER AT 9:10 pm! 

What a joke the Bore-mont is!  Who's the sports editor?  People do care about high school baseball!  It was standing room only last night at the game!

Im scared to say anything...........Beaumont people mention problems about getting reported on (like West Brook)and they get the "It's a regional paper not JUST for Beaumont" and "Well they have to cater to others because of all the people outside of Beaumont that buy the paper"........"It's marketing"..........blah blah blah.............Im guessing others are seeing the light............. what can the excuse be now??  Sure can't pen it on the beaumont coverage.........The "Suprise" has not even mentioned the fact that the Bruins won their own District..........First time in 12 years........ great story!?!?!  guess not???

I agree.  They profile 1 player a week from and area high school and print nothing about TEAM accomplishments big or small(which are all BIG to our area kids)!

Did y'all read my other post (on the 1st "Bore-Mont")? I included the phone numbers of all the Sports personnel. There are also email links to those same persons on www.beaumontenterprise.com on the left hand side of the home page under a link "Contact Staff". If enough people write and/or call, maybe you can get the coverage you are looking for. Good luck!!!

Get used to it.... High Island has yet to be mentioned .... on TV or the newspaper.  But that is OK.... maybe Houston will cover us.... heck we can't even get KFDM down here....and maybe we should just stop buying the Enterprise and only read the Galveston County News.  But we do appreciate our coverage in the HOMETOWN PRESS, BEACH TRITON and Neighborhood Net.  We have fans somewhere!

I know all year I have tried to follow West Brook news on the internet since the paper is not distributed out here and this website is the only place to get any news.  You can't get anything off of the enterprise's website.
