Andrews and, sims

Recommended Posts

Sims and Andrews are for real but they are not all this team will have.  You will see a well balanced team next year. If you key on one or two players you will be in trouble.  Nash, Swinney and McBee can all score and play killer defense.  All are over 6'2" except Nash (5'10"), who plays point.

Sims and Andrews will definitely be 2 to build on.They were 2 main cogs this year, but Nash,McBee and Swiiney can also step up and score on any given night. Both Sims and Andrews biggest challenge will be in the weight room in the off season. They will both play alot in the summer and that will help.Sims is already playing and Andrews will be within the next few weeks. These are 2 very gifted shooters,Sims from behind the arc(he hit 60-3's)this year and from the free throw line(81.6%)while Andrews can score at will from around 15ft.The key is to get these guys the ball. They both averaged around 13 points a game last year but lots of nights they wouldn't shoot the ball but 6 or 8 times apiece.Blake Riley will help this year along with Robert Hulett and probably the guy they missed the most this year Travis Swanson is coming back .These guys are gonna be pretty solid.I almost forgot Brandon Young probably the most atheletic kid in the program, his key will be playing everytime the team goes somewhere.

EC will be outstanding as long as Tramain is there. They will have to replace some scoring however losing Preston and Leday,so they may be down a little from this year. They will still be one of the best in the region.Kountze is always good but they will be down this year from what they have been. You can't lose Busby,Powell,Haynes and Boykin and be as good. They will play pressure D and score off of it but Tramain handles that well.Warren lost Granger this year but I think they will put a better club on the floor next year than they did this year. All this had nothing to do with original question"Can Andrews and Sims lead this club".The answer to that is simply yes they can,how far we won't know until next year.Good luck to everyone in 24aa.

The only way they can do that is if they get in the weightroom and put in the extra effort. They have no muscle mass on them

That's what I said their key would be the weight room.Sims was in the gym and the weightroom everyday last summer. He is as hard a worker as you'll find.He was in the gym at 6am lots of mornings this year before basketball started. His challenge will be genetics, he takes protein works out everyday and has lost about 10 lbs since bball season.Kid eats like a horse.Andrews likes to lift weights and is stronger than he looks. These 2 guys will put in the work and they are both already excellent shooters. If they hit the weights tthe sky is the limit. They may need to hire Swanson as a trainer, that kid is stout.

oh God whsalum, don't tell me Sims' is genetics!!  Have you seen his daddy??  they're gonna have to let out the elastic in his waistband if it's genetic!!

He IS a shooter!!  I hear he has an aunt that could light it up pretty good also!

His dad weighed about 150 when he graduated, but that WAS  a long time ago ;) ;) ;)

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
