Great article.  I never pitched much but when I did I disliked a steep mound.  Felt like I was stepping back up a hill to throw. 

Besides that.  one of the first things you see on the field is the infield.  A good mound is great for pitcher confidence.

I couldn't agree more. A sloppy mound means a sloppy outing.

i definately agree with homer. a mound is a work of art. i know mark serna of westbrook takes great pride in his mound.. it is absolutely a work of art..way to go mark and other bruins

agreed well kept mounds help... Not to mention it makes the field look better
