MidCounty Babe Ruth 18's are participating in a Select Tourney at Lamar this weekend. Today's games have been revised as they will play @4pm against Predators.

Yesterday they won both games 6-0 and 11-0. In 9 inn , staff gave up 3 hits 0 runs with 20 k's. Korey Clark (Ned), Blaine Mcelduff (BC) Chase Woods (PNG ) Tyler Herald (PNG) all pitched. Brett Boudreaux led the hitting including a 3 run HR.

Mid County 16's also won their game 4-0 behind Eric Bankston (Ned) shutout. They will play back to back games starting at 8am this morning.

Looks like it is going to be a wet one this weekend.

Opening ceremonies are scheduled for Thursday at 6pm. Two locals, Jimmy Collins and Skip Hopkins will be inducted into Southwest Regional Babe Ruth Hall of Fame.

 

Both Jimmy and Skip have been involved for over 40 consecutive years, either as player, coach or board member.

 

We will feed 9 teams plus their parents and fans. After the induction, we will have skills contest and HR Derby.
