  8. i was at the game watching, when the play accoured that started all of this contaversy. ive had my fare share of run ins with umpires and even the jasper coaches in question. but the coaches were not  wrong in this instance. in my opinion the jasper 2nd baseman did pick the ball clean. and when coaches put as much time and effort into a team as these two guys do. you expect umpires to get the calls correct.when an important game is on the line, it is easy to get caught up in the moment i agree, but for everyone that sais , no one should act this way in front of kids , remember this, in the front of the little league book is an "agenda" for lack of better words. that sais a main goal of l.l. is to teach kids to be winners....you do not become a winner by letting anyone bully over you, umpire, coach, who ever..now did the coach take it to far when he disobeyed the d.a. at the next game???? probably so , but i would have tried the same thing to watch my kid play!!!! no other reason than that...im sure he didnt do it  just to be a rebel...but for his kid....and one more thing from a coaches perspective...at some point when things arent going your way, coaches will let umpires have it, just to show the parent, and the players that they are his #1 priority...hes doing everything he can to back his guys up...sorry if you dont like it when coaches get into it with blue..but you better get used to it because its part of baseball!!!!!!!!!
  9. the skills competion starts sun. at 5:30, parade and opening ceremonies are at 7...we dont know what time we play yet
  10. Dallas64, thanks for everything you did at the tourny, you were an inspiration to the boys. i truly believe you were as much of a part of us winning as anything else.you kept kids and coaches motivated for 3 days.ive said all along coaching is the easy part, motivating is very hard...at least for me..glad to know you will be there for the national tournament (sporting that mo-hawk...lol..)it was a slow start for this team, but they have learned many things that makes a ball team good, never giving up, trust yourself and coaches, and most important how to be winners.i know there are a few kids who will not be back next year, but im looking forward to continuing to grow with this group to be a great baseball team and a great group of young men.
  11. it was an awesome 3 days for the bucks.....as sammy said "everyone was a m.v.p."...every kid pulled their weight and them some...no individual superstars, just solid team baseball for seven straight games...hold your head high bucks this one is something to proud of!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 9u STATE CHAMPS 2010 ...  IT HAS A NICE RING TO IT
  12. i want to say thanks to all the buna fans for showing their support for the kids and congrats to the boys for playing some good ball and finishing 3rd after starting with a loss. they showed some heart and worked hard in a short period of time..... congrats to west end and jasper for making it to the championship, these are 2 well coached teams with tons of talent...good luck to both tuesday
  13. this was a nations baseball tournament which plays under mlb rules........and thanks for the response
  14. mr ump.question involving an appeal............runner on first misses 2nd base on his way to third.......the batter/runner ends up on 2nd....an appeal is made to field umpire , but when the shortsop recieves the ball from the pitcher, he touches the runner on second before stepping on 2nd base.....is the runner on third still out? if so does the home plate umpire have the authority to over rule the field umpire.. even though the field umpire does not ask for help?
  15. the setx bucks 9u are looking for 1 more really strong player. pitching experience is a plus, if interested contact Trent Powell @ 409-289-0309
