  1. Now the big question is: Will a 0-3 start be enough to get the Head Bear to finally put on a headset and get involved more with the calls on Offense and Defense?
  2. Just wait until the 2nd half when their depth issues start to show
  3. RB1 is fine. He’s practiced this week with no limitations
  4. I love this, count me in. I follow this district pretty close every season. Hope I can provide some good insight for conversation here.
  5. Week Two: Lumberton @ Beaumont West Brook (West Brook too much, Lumberton had trouble scoring against Nederland. I think WB has a better defense than Nederland does. More athletes for WB on both sides of the ball) Vidor @ Santa Fe (not sure, don't know anything about SF, curious to see how many passes Vidor threw last week against Silsbee) Livingston @ Needville (Needville has athletes, Livingston coming off surprising Week 1 win. Give me Needville by 14) HJ @ East Chambers (EC running game too strong for HJ. Saw EC has a good trio of running backs this year, EC leans on HJ and pulls ahead late in the 4th qtr due to HJ having depth issues in their front 7 on defense) Bridge City vs Kirbyville (BC just too much for Kirbyville. BC by 30) LCM @ Silsbee (Silsbee too much for LCM. Conditioning looking to be an issue with the Bears with 4 to 6 players playing both ways. LCM-backup QB, 8 sophomores getting meaningful playing time, bad recipe to be playing Silsbee. Give me Silsbee by 35) Liberty vs Splendora- (give me Liberty by 14 points. Splendora not as good as their week 1 result suggests) Huffman vs Houston Furr (Huffman bounces back after loss to La Marque, Huffman by 7)
  6. What injuries do they have besides senior QB still out? I'm thinking this game will be in the 42-14 range. Silsbee rolls in this one
  7. No direct relation. I'm sure with an uncommon name like that they got to be related somewhere down the line
  8. Backup QB, Struwe is locked. The boy has put in some serious work since the starter went down. Depth will be a problem for LCM as they have about 5 guys playing both ways. Give me the Bears by 40!
  9. BC is NOT back. My mistake.
  10. Bridge City is NOT back. I apologize for my comments from previous weeks
  11. No excuse, I’ll just eat my crow
  12. It’s so hard to quit because BRIDGE CITY is finally BACK!!!!
  13. 100% agree. This one won’t be close. Smalley can put up 60 on the Bear Defense if he wants to
  14. Top 4 teams in their bi-district are: Kilgore Chapel Hill Pine Tree Henderson
  15. No i promise, i have no one of any relation to me on LCM's team.
  16. Now to be fair, the two games I’ve seen of Huffman were Liberty and Lumberton. I’ve seen 5 games of Bridge City. Just my opinion from the games I’ve seen. Time will tell all, just have to be patient and let things play out I guess.
  17. Honestly I have watched film on two games of every team in the district minimum. Bearden is the best and I’d say that even if I was a Huffman or LCM fan. I am the one who doesn’t look at things thru rose colored glasses.
  18. One of Peevey’s Triplets (Running Back) is battling a foot injury. His QB is showing a lack of accuracy in the passing game recently. We all know QB is the most important position on the field and I think BC has the best one in the district. I look for Bearden and Sumrall to have a big night. Give me BC by 20 points unless Peevey trots out #5 at QB and decides to finally put a headset on. BRIDGE CITY is BACK folks!
  19. We Full J/K come on and hop aboard!
  20. I’ll take Pom Pom Peevey and his Triplets by 28 or more.
  21. Hutch and the Cardinals by 40 BC is BACK!!!
  22. Think Peevey will put a headset on for that one? 🤷‍♂️
  23. No hard feelings I hope, just kicking ya when you’re down. Lol all in good fun good luck the rest of the year
