1. Nobody is more proud of you than the people in your hometown. Same place next year. Third time is definitely the charm. We love you more you will ever know. WILDCATS FOREVER
2. not new to football but new to something more than the individual game. I watch the games and enjoy them immensely, but did not know how exactly it is that the playoffs were created. REALLY  a pity that they could not recreate the excitement that came with the K'ville-Newton game of -09. Was a great game.
3. Just a question, you all are talking about district 1 & 2.... If K'ville and Newton both win their upcoming games, then would they or would they not play one another for the State Title? I am very very foggy on this point. Please help.
4. To Grizz, Coop, and Lefty, Well said. These guys are the greatest. I have watched them play since the 7th grade. I am so proud of them. They are still our Champions and will be no matter what. This has been one of the finest seasons of football I have ever had the pleasure of watching them play. We love every one of our Wildcats. We can do this again next year.
5. This team is the cream of the crop. They have nothing to be ashamed of. These young men are our 'Champions' and we are very proud of them. That being said, we have a very good crop of young men coming into their own as well and we still have some of the best coaching staff in all of Texas. With the help of Coach Alvarez and his support team these young men will make another trip to State again in the very near future. Our Seniors will be there cheering them on from the stands. We could never be prouder of those boys than we are today.
6. And it is snowing in Houston, and in Galveston. Sounds like Coach A. is going to have to clear a spot for that trophy and all the boys need to get fitted for their rings. [glow=red,2,300]Good Luck Wildcats!!![/glow]
7. Those young men are dangerous and some people ought to be made aware of that. I think they can take anyone in this state or any other for that matter. [glow=red,2,300][move]GO WILDCATS[/move]
8. Grizz is SETXsports.com going to air and announce the game like it has the rest? I have family that cannot go to the game and would love to listen. ???
9. Ryker, These kids have played together for at the very least past 6 years and some even before that. These kids have played as a unit from the very beginning. Some have come intothe fold and some have gone but the core unit is the same as it was in PeeWee League. These boys are going to do what they have done all along. They are going to go out there and give the crowd and the other team 48 solid minutes of hard core, body slamming and bone crushing football. I wish them all the luck in the world!!! BRING IT HOME WILDCATS!!!!
10. Muleshoe is waaaaaay out there in the panhandle, almost to New Mexico. The location causes me to wonder about the level of play among those teams. I mean, in that spread out, far reaching area, how many really good 2-A teams are there. Yet, they have played their way into a state championship game. I witnessed Kirbyville against Rice Consolidated. Without seeing Muleshoe, I call Kirbyville by 21 points. The 2A schools in that area are not great but there are some good ones, plus you obviously don't make it to state unless you are at least a decent team yourself. K-ville better not take them lying down or it could be a bad deal for them. Now with that said I have not seen either team this year but would have to go with Kirbyville in a close one. For those that have not had the pleasure or priviledge of watching the WILDCATS on the field, if you are going, you are in for a heart pounding, pulse racing, breath stealing, good time. These boys are on fire all the time and they are amazing on the field. I have watched these boys since 2001, I believe they were in the 6th or 7th grade. They play well together and they have basically the same lineup as they did way back then. They have had years to perfect this team. They are going to bring home all the BIG PRIZES for SE Texas and Kirbyville. I personally cannot wait to watch this game. If it were being played on the White House lawn I would go.
11. It is good to have a good quarterback, but if he is flat on his back all night he cannot be very productive. These very cats proved that last year against Bridge City. These young men are ready and have earned the trophy, the ring and the prestige that goes with this game. It will all boil down to who wants it more and I think that these young men from SE Texas are very hungry.
12. Me too! If a team can put up 61 pts in a semi final game that is saying something! I hope we are underestimated! I have to agree. I hope that Muleshoe comes in thinking that it is in the bag and gets blindsided by these boys grit and determination. These boys have one of the best coaching and training staffs in the state. I think that Muleshoe is going to have to fight tooth and nail to get past our boys. I hope that they do not have it in them to do so. Our boys want this title more than they want to eat, and if you have ever seen these boys eat, that is saying something.
13. Coach Jack Alvarez is welcome to stay right where he is Thank You Very Much! ;D He is actually one of the finest coaches I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and he treats those boys like they are his own flesh and blood.
