A good chunk of Mid-County got power last night.

That would be pretty good.

So... I'm a little confused about FEMA. I thought that the costs of evacuation (gas, food, etc) would be covered. When I try to apply, all the questions are about physical damage to my home. I guess I need to call? Has anyone else had success with this?

That would put you just a few streets west of Shadowdale, but no way of knowing for sure. You should check out the live stream at KFDM.com. They have been talking a lot about Orange County.

In viewer e-mails to KFDM there were reports of 2ft of water in a few houses in the Shadowdale area (North of Roundbunch, west of HWY 408). Also, 4ft of water in houses off of East Roundbunch; Dugas addition badly flooded; A few places off of Ferry badly flooded. Keep in mind that this is from viewer emails, not official info.

Wow... I'm really anxious to see what happens. How about the goofy mispronunciations on the weather channel? Earlier I heard a guy say "Lake Sabyne".

I can't tell whether those are pics are in Waterwood off of HWY 62 or Oaks on the Bayou in BC. The Marina is definitely going under water.

So has anyone been watching The Weather Channel? Waves are cresting over the seawall!
