I don't think I made any comment to crazydad at all though I do appreciate your comment about how Holly is more of a man than another poster. I'm sure that if she got uptight about someone not being as impressed with her favorite team as he should have been then being complimented about being manly should go over real well. You actually should brush up on the comprehension part of reading since most of my post had to do with a couple of folks spraying Lonestar about how they cheated Buna. The other part was fairly simple to understand, I thought, though it seems that you took offense to that also. I'm not sure how anyone can take a personal insult from a fan posting that they feel that the east is weaker than the west. You really have to be looking for insults to find that in the least offensive. Secondly, I understand completely that BUNA is not Holly and Bonecrusher. Most all of the folks from Buna that I deal with are really good people and good league members. However, for someone to come on here and puke lies all over this forum for anyone to read will get a response. If you and the rest want to be offended by someone saying that, in their personal opinion, the east is weaker this year than the west then have at it. Also, crazy, it does matter what my resume is concerning this league and whether or not I would cheat 8 and 9 year old kids. I'm not someone that just walked into this league a year or two ago and now feel they can claim that its all for the kids. You weren't thrown in with the Buna fans unless you felt they were right in their accusations and insults to this league, the members of this league, other posters on this forum and anyone else that they want to artificially be insulted by. Besides, I challenge you to show anywhere I insulted anyone other than answering allegations and using their own words. If your own words indict you then perhaps you should choose them more carefully. I've already had several calls from the good folks in Buna this morning telling me that Holly and Foamgusher do not speak for Buna or anyone in their organization. Seems that all of their allegations and feigned feelings of insult do not carry any weight with the Buna organization and they have offered help in quieting such libelous speech. But really, crazy, you were actually insulted by an OPINION that one league was weaker this year than another??? You took it personally??? And you think I should point fingers back at myself for answering false allegations from Buna fans??? You got upset over an opinion about peewee football and took it personally. I can't imagine what you would do if someone accused you of cheating 8 and 9 year old kids, accused you of insulting people for answering those allegations and then told you to point at yourself to find the problem. Try following your own advice, crazy, and see if it makes any sense. But then you can always remember while you are being falsely accused and pointing at yourself that you should just suck it up and take it with a smile because "its for the kids".

Its amazing how the Buna fans can see how everyone else is insulting them AND their kids but cannot see the very same insults shelled out by themselves against others in this league. So, without further ado: That was from Holly. In her long years of experience she has just placed the kids in Silsbee in fourth place or "wherever" they should have been instead of their rightful place according to the rules of this league. The kids from Silsbee played very hard to achieve their record and, by the laws we all play by, were EXACTLY WHERE THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN. But thanks Holly, thanks for the sensitivity for the kids from Silsbee. Those are MY kids. This was a post from a person going by the name of Bonecrusher. Its not hard to guess who this may have been but it seems to be obviously a statement that Buna was cheated. This absurdity was posted here for everyone to see without ever actually checking to see if the Associations involved were part of the process. The truth is that a rep from each league WAS involved. The "THEY" that Bonehead speaks of is the Lonestar Board. So, Buna thinks that the LJF Board is cheating their kids and coaches and entire town. But, Bonecrusher isn't alone: Yes, sportsfans, its Holly again riding to the rescue of Buna by talking trash about things she knows nothing about. In fact if anyone is not impressed with that undefeated record (like jr horns) then she feels that they are insulting the Buna kids. If someone feels that the eastern division is weaker than the western (like jr horns) then it is a direct insult to the kids in Buna and certain kids from Buna in particular. This is getting way over the top. But let us continue: What?? Are you not impressed with Silsbee or EC??? Is this a total dismissal of the hard work of the kids and parents of Silsbee and EC?? Is this an insult to these young men on these two teams from the western district to state that they are OBVIOUSLY inferior to the Buna kids and would have had no chance to prevail against the undefeated record??? Should I and the people of Silsbee and EC feel that you just insulted their children and call you out??? If someone says it about Buna then it seems that it would have been an insult but if Buna says it about others then it isn't. Holly isn't impressed with Silsbee or EC and jr horns isn't impressed with Buna. However, only the Buna fans feel that this points to an insult of their sons, daughters and their way of life. It seems to be a personal persecution issue: and An undefeated season, not including the Jamboree, gets you nothing more than a chance to play more teams and that is exactly what they got. It doesn't get you an "easy" opponent, it doesn't get you an "intimidation factor" that makes Founders of two football leagues and numerous associations within those leagues so terrified of your 8, 9 and 10 year olds that they will actually cheat those kids to keep them from winning. An undefeated season, which is not that big of a rarity in kid's football, does not give you the ability to say things about other teams and associations and their ability and then get profane when someone does it to yours. If you can't take it, don't dish it. Saying that there was little doubt that your team could beat other teams is no different than another saying that they weren't that impressed (intimidated, worried or fearful) with yours. Only the Buna fans took that as an insult to their kids and one even considered it an insult to his son in particular and called out the poster to discuss it personally. Saying that you are not impressed with a team's ability to compete with yours is NOT an insult to your son or to anyone's son. Of the eight teams placed in the Jr playoffs only Buna believes they were cheated and have the gall to state it in front of everyone. Of all of the posters on here only the Buna fans have accused the Board of cheating (bonecrusher and holly), called another poster an or idiot (holly) and only Buna has asked a poster to call and discuss his post personally since he feels his son was personally attacked by another poster saying he wasn't that impressed with the Jr Cougars. (cougardad). I've read on this forum how some teams could do things and not get looked at but if Buna did it then it would be investigated. Now, this garbage about how the people who founded an organization for kids are actually cheating those same kids. If the Buna posters feel they have been cheated by the Board or that they are being plotted against by the other teams and associations of this league or that their children are being insulted by someone not being impressed with their "undefeated" record then I can see only one option for Buna. You have my personal invitation to join the other league that we founded and see if they will cheat you and insult your kids like this league has. Or you could show up and volunteer year round for this league as each of us cheaters do. We all have other jobs and responsibilities and we aren't paid for any of this and listening to cretins such as yourselves trash what everyone else seems to be fairly happy with is enough to make a buzzard wretch. Get this straight, no one has cheated Buna and no one meant any insult to the kids of Buna by making any predictions or personal impressions. But I will say this, the Board and the other associations of this league are owed an apology by Holly and Bonecrusher for their accusations of conspiracy to cheat a bunch of kids. Their indignance over what they consider an insult fall on incredulous ears after making such ridiculous accusations themselves. I leave you with the words of cougardad: We don't want all of this negativity but accusations shouted from the crowd grow unless slapped down. Perhaps the posters from Buna should have thought of that before they accused Lonestar of cheating and then feigning indignity, insult and anger over not being impressive to somebody from HF. Leadership skills are shown by results and we are the fastest growing league in this part of Texas. The people being accused built two leagues and multiple associations from scratch and we aren't terribly concerned with our failures of leadership in the eyes of people that are delusional enough to feel we are cheating them. We still do things today as we did when we built this thing that is now being falsely accused and slandered by posters from Buna. Perhaps the people of Buna need to show some leadership with their own people and muzzle them before they make enough accusations to cause truly hard feelings.

We've heard all about how this was a conspiracy to fool Buna into thinking that they were playing an inferior team. I was hearing that even before I got home from EC this past Saturday. Three teams had the same records at the end of the season and that said absolutely nothing about their abilities. Mistaking their ranking as an indication of their ability seems to have been a fatal mistake. Surely the Buna coaches understood the bulls-eye that #1 sticks on your back and understood that anyone going up against them is going to bring their "A" game every week. Hardin-Jefferson and their coaches did just that. They did their homework and found a winning gameplan. To disparage them by making accusations of game-fixing or meddling by the Board is shameful and shows a lack of class. The seeds were set exactly as I said they would be at the Coach's meeting before the season. "In the event of a tie we will set the playoffs, not by points allowed but by flipping a coin." When confronted with a 3-way tie it was decided to offer the presidents of the three associations the ability to get the extra days of practice by drawing numbers instead of getting all of them to drive to a central location that next Wednesday. If ANY of those presidents had wanted to meet and flip a coin then that is what we would have done. But none cared to drive and it seems that they all TRUSTED THE BOARD. All were going to the playoffs and all seemed ready to play whoever they got stuck with. The western conference had a first place team and three second place teams. We drew numbers from a hat to determine what their places were in their playoffs. According to their records we had three EQUAL teams in the west to place against the eastern conference. We are sorry that we didn't clear this with the Buna coaches and fans since it seems that they feel they have been cheated. That IS what these accusations are stating. Stating that the teams were placed in any way other than random chance IS an accusation of cheating. I've already got a history of how I deal with cheaters. This isn't the first such accusation from this quarter or on this forum. I've explained exactly how this happened even though it was cleared with the involved associations and none seem to have any problems. If the Buna association or their coaches feel they are being cheated by the Board then they need to lodge a formal complaint and not air out their problems on this forum. It has been three days and I haven't had anyone from the Buna association contact me to launch an investigation. But, you obviously don't trust me either. I've never given Michael or Buna a reason to distrust me. Truthfully, these accusations don't do anything but bring hard feelings if you do nothing but shout from the crowd. I've explained what happened but if that isn't enough then I will gladly help you stage your own witch hunt. Better yet, get your president, Mark Poole, to call and lodge a complaint so that I will know that this is an association belief and not just the rantings of people grappling with why they didn't win a kid's game.

First to Holly, I was not offended; just trying to make a point about a comment concerning whether or not Deweyville would be investigated like Buna would be if the roles were reversed. I assured you that they have been and always will be....just like Buna or Silsbee or anyone else in this league. I'm sorry that you felt I was offended and I didn't mean to offend you. If you were, I hope that you will accept my apology and accept my invitation to attend any of our Board meetings to see how we discuss all of the things that come about trying to administer something that deals with so many different towns, organizations, personalities and beliefs. Now a little idea of why we have some of the rules we do. Our Mercy Rule is an interpretive rule based on actions taken by the coaching staffs of both teams involved and the actual events of the game. It isn't a concrete rule though the 30 point limit will invoke questions being asked. The Rule states that at 30 points the leading team will do whatever has to be done to limit further scoring on offense. That doesn't mean pulling your starters and continuing to pile on points with other players. There are lots of ways to do this and some of our coaches are still learning that its not always as easy as it looks. But they are learning and if the intent is truly there then the Board tries to grant leniency. As for the idea of ridding the league of the Mercy Rule; the kids in the league don't need to be taught everything they will have to learn at such a young age. They will eventually learn that they may not get to play football at all in school though we have minimum play rules. They will learn that there is a difference between losing and getting embarrassed though we have a rule against running up the score. They will learn that, as cheerleaders, they will have to be judged to even participate though we let everyone that wants to cheer to be part of the team. They will learn a lot of hard lessons that may not always be positive but there is plenty of time for that outside of this organization. That's why we have a Mercy Rule and Minimum Play Rule and the idea that all of our girls get to cheer regardless of talent or ability. These are rules they will not be protected by when they get to school so we think its a good idea to protect the kids while we can. Let the kids try to have a positive experience and let the world catch up to them when it must. Nothing is perfect. To scored on you: Perhaps you can suggest from your years of experience how you enforce rules without consequences. Every association understands what the rules are and how they will be enforced. If a repeat offense or serious offense is committed then there are only a few ways for the governing body to provide adherence to those rules. I suppose the same whining and half truths fly out when confronted with a fine for breaking any rule of a governing body. Run a stop sign and squeal when the cops give you a ticket and whine if they tell you that the fine is coming if you do it. Seems the reading comprehension level also needs work if you feel that I was threatening Holly to keep her quiet by pointing out that DV was questioned just as Buna had been after the insinuation that Buna would be questioned and that DV might get away with it. Seems that Holly understood though you felt it was bragging about fines. Ms. Holly must be a few rungs further up on the I.Q. ladder but I need not quote the obvious. Since you read the bylaws then perhaps you would grace us with pointing out the rules we are in violation of since you make the accusation. This is as good a place to speak of them as any. You know who I am and you can remain anonymous so that the big bad Board won't punish you by looking at what you are doing wrong. Let's hear it. I'm not sitting up to my eyeballs in the weeds croaking and squeaking and hoping no one will find me. Myself and VP Wilhelm are both here to answer any questions or concerns anyone has or to challenge anyone with a problem to discuss it without self-imposed delusions of how we do things. However, since we have associations petitioning to enter LJF and have stood our ground when confronted with blatant cheating and threats of litigation I don't know that such discussions will fit into your picture of this league. You backed up nothing you have claimed with anything more than half-baked insinuations and name-calling. You feel you have a legitimate issue to address then I will engage that discussion and provide answers to your concerns as best I can as soon as you grow a set and pose it like a man. Since I am the Lonestar member that investigates and recommends sanctions or fines against any association for infractions of our rules to the rest of the Board, I am who you are talking about when you suggest that questions be asked. I might remind Holly that Buna has already run the score up twice this season on weaker opponents. 44-0 points against Warren and 45-6 against Mauriceville. Suppose I start another investigation to include the Deweyville game and include the two instances from Buna. Would that make you happy? Would you like to be the person that brought this up and forced action against D-Ville that would also cost your association $300, suspension and probation for the coaches and putting the association on notice? Please call and demand an investigation and equal justice to be meted out. The truth is that it makes it easier on me when the rules are dealt out without looking at the merits of each case. The truth is that EVERY SCORE OVER 30 POINTS IN THIS LEAGUE IS INVESTIGATED BY ME AND I MAKE A RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD CONCERNING THAT INVESTIGATION. You are right about one thing Holly, the questions would be asked if the roles were reversed because I'm the one asking them. I do not have favorites and I push the rules down EVERYONE'S throats equally. Perhaps you should talk to Mr. Poole or Mr. Golden to find out if I do my job. Ask if I have dogged them about their scores. Ask the coaches or admin in Silsbee if they have paid fines and been on probation? Ask Mauriceville and H-F. Ask the president of East Chambers, (oops, too late, he's history), ask Vidor about whether or not the Board at LJF plays hardball when it comes to this league and its rules. Fairness is what my job is all about and I look at every issue and make decisions based on the facts and not on WHO. But, if you want me to start dealing out justice based on something as simple as a point on the scoreboard, Buna's gonna get a letter from me and they are going to really appreciate you bringing up the spectre of Deweyville getting a break when your own organization has been the biggest violator of that same rule this season. I don't have a kid in this league and have no other reasons for doing any of this. You were at the Coach's Meeting but lack the guts to do anything more than shout from the crowd. You call a man's name then have the stones to show your face or be as honorless as you show to be. Every youth organization has faceless, mindless jawbones that can run their heads but disappear when the hard stuff needs doing. Stand and be counted or put a sock in it.

Lonestar Jr Football doesn't use the "points allowed" system. It's an archaic system that punishes offensive players and allows defensive coaches and players to continue playing their 1st team players throughout the game. Perhaps the idea of keeping the team getting beaten by 28 points from scoring by running the 1st team players the entire game is a real point of pride among defensive coaches but it doesn't seem fair to make the offense pull off the dogs but allow the defense to continue at full strength. But, it really allows adult coaches to go to bed feeling really good about themselves and their defensive performance against teams that their offense had to stop scoring against. Perhaps the new Vidor organization would like to get another look at that scoring rule after the WO-S game.

I've been watching the Forum for a while and I have got to say that there is a massive difference from those that are involved in the Lonestar league and those that critisize them and the coaches of different teams. I'm afraid that the booger-eating morons from Vidor that proclaim themselves as authorities on who, what and how the Youth football leagues operate and how they SHOULD operate are shaming the town of Vidor one more time. Festering pustules that insult 83 as a "has-been" are obviously bowel worms that have no business even shining that man's shoes. He was putting together the Vidor association when they were still being a disappointment to their parents and friends instead of all of Vidor. They should apologize to 83 and quit embarrassing the good people in Vidor. Tools. 20-0. Wow. Wadda beating. Deweyville got beat that bad but they aren't on here whizzin' down their legs and pointing fingers at the HJ coaches. Mauriceville got beat and they don't have their women screaming and pointing fingers. If you let the 2cd or 3rd string kids run something other than straight dives then according to the stool samples on here then you are guilty of disrespecting the kids of Vidor and their coaches. Too bad. If a coach has his 2cd string running their normal offensive package, regardless of what plays are in that package, and the scores are 10 points BELOW the League rules then that coach shouldn't be subjected to the Vidor Village Idiots and their toothless philosophy. Football games are also the places that teams work on their game strategy and get their work in with the 2cd and 3rd string players. Lonestar put a limit on points scored and doesn't restrict how a coach works under that limit. If Silsbee put 32 points on Vidor in the first quarter and then ran gimme plays for the next three quarters then that would be more of an embarrassment than a 20 point game. 83 and Coach Comeaux represent Vidor well and are respected around the league for their contributions. Hearing from a couple of purple helmets that claim to be from Vidor cheapens their contributions.
