1. Flag Division: PN-G Purple 7 WO-S 6 It was a great defensive battle by both teams.
2.
I went to the game last night and cant help but wonder why PNG would try to run the clock out and go into overtime with over a minute to play and two timeouts left. Doty was torching Ozen secondary all night. Faircloth did not even give the kid a chance to drive the ball down the field and at least attempt a game winning field goal. What a slap in the face to the best QB in the district. Why would he opt for overtime when Ozen had chewed the  PNG defense up all night.
You do realize the Indians had the ball on the 8. With only a minute left, it was absolutely the right decision even with Peyton Manning at QB. A turnover or a couple of incompletions and you are punting from your endzone. Looks like he knew what he was doing.
3.
he controlled the ball when he was on his back. he was bobbling (sp) it when he was falling down.
Both legs were out of bounds before he controlled it. Should not have been a touchdown.
4. District beginning to look clearer. The Triangle is front runners ;D Week 10 could be epic at The Babe!
5. Soccer lines are now gone. Field looks good! [Hidden Content],5.615.html
6. Outside of the football field is permanent. On the field itself they are painted on. It will wash away with rain as told to me by a coach.
7. They will go away. They are not permanent. Painted on just for soccer season I believe.
8. Well for some reason they all sat on the PN-G side. Stephenville didn't hardly have any. Amazing all those "non-fans" chose to sit in nose bleed on PN-G side when they could have been on the 50, 25 rows up on Stephenville's side.
9. Might want to check your math. Playoffs in last 20 years: '89,'90,'92,'96,'98,'99,'03,'04,'07. Missed in '05 on coin flip.
10. It does not matter what county a team is from. As I stated earlier, PNG is not alone in this district, they are not the "Chosen Team". The local stations need to give recognition to all area teams, not just PNG. Seems to me you need to take up your complaint of this "media conspiracy against all other southeast Texas schools" with the local media and not fans on a high school football message board. You are sounding very whiney. And you are sounding like a typical PNG fan that can not see beyond the bounds of your city limit signs. For pete's sake, there was even a "Mid County Kindness Day" and there were people on the news making the statement that "I can't wear that shirt, I have to wear my purple shirt". Open your eyes, people, the world does not revolve around you or your school district. Were all of you created from the same mold? We can only hope that a newer version has been created, one that doesn't bleed purple, but bleeds red like the rest of the people in this area. This is your issue. Its your perception that the communites of Port Neches and Groves feel this way. No doubt graduates of PN-G were instilled with school pride at an early age. If you did not grow up an Indian, it would be hard to understand. I have no trouble "seeing beyond the bounds of my city limit signs", but I do think it is the best community in Southeast Texas. If I thought Little Cypress was the best community, I would live there. My point being, everyone lives in a community that is best for their family so to them it is the best community. But back on your original rant, I was simply pointing out if you feel there is a "media conspiracy to promote only PN-G" then you need to take it up with local media outlets.
