  1. GET A GRIP...we beat Livingston like they "owed us money" also, the dayton people need to get over it. It happened, you lost, move forward.
  2. Come on now. Geesh. There is no sex simulation on the field...It's called dancing. : : : : Solja, most of your posts are good, and well thought out. That being said, please don't insult us by defending what the Central Band does by calling it dancing. It is shameful, and vulgar. I've read various editorials about this 'style' of halftime performance under the guise of 'cultural expression', but it is AWFUL. Thank GOD we live in a free country (at least for now ), but there is not freedom provided to yell fire in a crowded movie theater. In other words, if the Central fans/parents/students, et. al. enjoy this kind of show so much, HAVE A PRIVATE PERFORMANCE, and don't subject our children, and wives to this embarrassment. Now that I've got that off my chest, Best of luck in the playoffs...I hope your boys go deep, and beat dayton before we have to. ;D Thank you for the compliment. When I went to Central, we couldn't dance and stuff like they do now, so I understand what a band an a halftime is supposed to be. At the same time, not all fans were happy (well not jumping up and down) to see these 'circle' bands and 'Military' style bands. I do know that back in the Beaumont Charlton Pollard days and the old Lincoln days, back in the '70's the 'show' performances used to go on all the time. most of our parents and guardians were from that era also. They used to have a live halftime show that everyone talked about. I understand you have your opinion and I respect that. I'm sure you respect mine also. I absolutely respect your opinion, and am glad that we are having an entertaining debate 'among gentlemen'. I seriously don't think anyone who has a problem with the 'show style' of marching wants to stop this style. I think we just want the PG version, or maybe we could start with the PG-13 version. I just get frustrated with the NC-17 version. BTW, I'm we come from some of the same turf. I'm a French High School Buffalo, class of 1986.

  4. Like them or not (I never have, they are like a high school version of texas a&m), PNG hold the UIL attendance record for high school football. The stadium was incredible, although the field looked slippery. Probably needs to be broken in a while for traction. I'm certainly jealous. Certainly the class of all local schools (including Lamar U).
  5. One thing's for sure...this district has been unpredictable this year....I'm goin' with the boys from Hardin county, but it is PNG, and anything can happen. I'm still having flash backs from this year's Vidor game. If the train stays focused, we should come out on top. LHS 32 png 10
