Who is pitching?

I don't have a dog in this hunt but from what I have heard those young men took a stand the coach should have taken. It's sad when the kids have to be the moral barometer in a situation instead of the adult. If I were their parents I would be very proud that they had the courage to do the right thing. I think the coach's decision should be the topic of discussion not what a few brave young men had the courage to do. You guys stood up for what you believe in and sometimes when you do you are questioned by those who would never have the courage to take a stand.

Sports team 1 first of all you started a meaningless post about unsigned juniors and then you insult two fine young men from Nederland. Is that why you started this post to bash players? How many Nederland games have you been to? You are aware Bellow (there is no s) is not playing right now? That makes it difficult to carry a team. Kids read this, if you are an adult you should be ashamed. You not only insulted those 2 young men but also the entire team. You asked who could play at the next level no one needs your retort as to whom you believe is worthy. I will pm you with the rest of my thoughts.

I teach at Nederland High School. Three of my ceiling tiles caved in today and water is leaking everywhere. I have trash cans in there to catch the water and the desk pushed out of the way so the children don't get debris or water on them. We had Honeywell and maintenance out to look at it. We have 3 leaks in our department right now all with the ceiling tiles gone and trash cans out to catch the water. Maintenance will have to make the part to fix the airconditioner. I am assuming it is because the unit is 37 years old and parts are hard to come by. They said it would be next week before they can get the parts to fix it. Is this really what the children of Nederland deserve?

Could you be more specific about what that element is? If you do not want to do so in this forum, would you contact one of the current board members? It could be that you concern has been addressed.

Warell I am proud of you! I also agree with the previous post that Jude is a great young man.

Actually, 11 of the 15 players were playing select baseball (Big Timers and Sundevils) and planned their summer so they could play on this team. I bet we are not the only team that has players that wanted to play Babe Ruth summer baseball and made sure their schedules accomodated it.

Thanks all of you for the support and congratulations to these boys, it means a great deal to have the communities support. The guys are going to be out the next two Saturdays trying to raise money. Today they will be out asking for donations on 365 and on 27th street in Nederland. Next Saturday we are planning a link sale at Dickerson's Exxon (we are trying to get permission) and Market Basket in Nederland. Please come out and support the guys if you can.

I have read this forum for a year now and I have never posted. I have to do so now. I am a parent of one of the players on the 14 year old team. I was there last year when they played 3 games in one night and started the championship game at 10:00. I saw those boys leave everything they had on that field in Oklahoma. I saw those boys bond and make it their mission to get back to the regional tournament and defeat Bryant on their terms. They circled that date on their calendars and they worked hard to get there. I saw them do it. I cried last year as I saw those boys defeated only because they had nothing else to give; I cried this year because I saw them do what they set out to do. Those of you that are saying these things were not there you have no idea of what went on with these boys. You also do not understand how close they are. Port Neches and Nederland doesn't matter on this team; they are one team with one mission. They are so happy, excited and proud of themselves and they should be. If you would like to congratulate them please do. If you see them tell them you are proud of them and tell them they have represented our area well and will continue to do so. But, please stop turning this into questioning what should have happened. Hunter pitched against Bryant last year and it was nice to have someone they had never seen before. Everyone can second guess a coach but, did you hear? WE WON!!
