  1. I did tip my cap at Mississippi...but you're not gonna change my mind that the bracket was poorly drawn (all 3 of them) It's not an excuse...we could've overcome it just as the 14 & 15 yr olds did...but we didn't. Plain & simple.
  2. Wowwww...and you're complaining about attitudes??? Practice what you preach!
  3. Congrats to a great group of boys...we're proud of you guys!
  4. I'm not blaming the bracket for them not winning the tournament...if you will read what I said, I said Mississippi should win the whole thing. They were the better team...but, I said it before and I'll say it again...it was a horrible bracket. And I don't say that because we had to play an extra game. If you'll look at all 3 of the brackets in Arkansas, they were all drawn the same way & they could've been scheduled better. If you'll look, the teams representing North & South Arkansas were scheduled playing early on Friday & had a whole days rest before playing their second game on Sunday. And this was the same on all 3 brackets. But with that being said, you are right! The coaches & kids should've been able to rise to the challenge...but like I said, Mississippi was the better team. Sorry if I struck a wild hair...I was there & I was exhausted after staying up past midnight for the first night, having to return for a noon game & then a third game in less than 24 hours. All I was saying is that it could have made a difference in the 3rd game.
  5. Lost first game to McComb, Mississippi (Good team...should win the tourney) Lost second game to Eagle Pass, TX (should've beat 'em, but our boys were exhausted after getting a horrible draw in the bracket) Those hillbillies do NOT know how to draw a bracket!!!
  6. Great way to start guys...I figured you'd beat 'em but WOW a 19-0 shut out? Do we have stats on who pitched?
  7. Our first game is Friday at 8pm...should start late since Opening Ceremonies are scheduled at 7:30. Everyone have a safe trip & see ya'll Friday. LET'S GO DOGS!!
  8. Hi, I am the new Player Agent at NBRL. I am aware of the issues you have expressed. If anyone has any questions, feel free to message me. I want everyone to know that there are several new Board members & I hope you will give NBRL a second chance.
  9. It makes perfect sense to me to use a draft pick to pick your own kid. There are coaches who don't have a kid. In that case, it would seem unfair for the other coaches to automatically get their kid plus a 1st round draft. That's 2 for the price of one. I understand it doesn't happen very often, but it does happen.
  10. I also have a 2009 Louisville Slugger TPX EXOGRID Youth bat for sale. 31 inch, 19.5 oz. 2 1/4 in barrell. Paid $250, Asking $150. My son used a 2008 during regular league that was under warranty & they replaced it with a new 2009 right before his last All Star Game. He only used it once & now wants a big barrel for Babe Ruth.
  11. My son will be playing his first year of Babe Ruth as a 13 yr old, and he wants a big barrell bat. He used a Louisville Slugger EXOGRID in Little League (31 in, 19.5 oz) I have no idea how to pick a big barrell bat or what brand would be best for him. Any advice?
  12. Anyone have a score on the game tonight?
  13. Congrats to the 13 yr old All Stars! Alot of Nederland boys on that team. Good luck in Lake Jackson!
  14. I disagree with you MachineBaseball. The reason Ned won is because they came back strong on Tuesday and outplayed BC. I agree, Ned didn't hit the ball well against Crain on Monday, but we did get a hit off of him in the 3rd inning which gave our team the confidence they needed to tie the game up in the 4th. They put themselves in the perfect position to come back & finish the game on Tuesday. The boys did a great job, but I also give credit to the coaches....so should you!
  15. I just found out about this blog site, but I just wanted to say that you are all wrong about RGR. This man has class. He has given up his time to coach these kids (including mine) for the past 3 years, and he has my utmost respect. He did not intentionally repost the score to 'rub it in.' It was an honest mistake. Give the guy a break!
