  1. I graduated from Odessa Permian in 86. Yates always seemed to stop us in our tracks. That was the good old days.
  2. OK, Congratulations girls. But dont turn your back on this man and do not trust him with your money.
  3. Hey, I'm beginning to think that the TD of the US Open is related to certain MC Elite coach. Maybe they are brothers.
  4. As far as the gate fee, since I didn't see anyone taking money to get in, I figured that when they changed from Ford park that that was changed also. After our first game there was someone taking money, so we went and got extra money to get back in before our next game but when we went back in no one was there collecting money. So as far as I'm concerned it wasn't the honor system and people being dishonest, it was who ever was in charge of that. They had it all screwed up.
  5. Not much mentioned about the guy who had the wreck. Why is that? I thought that was some of the reason things were so messed up. We had an OK experience. Yes, it was like playing on a beach. The only thing I had a real problem with was the lack of shade over the bleachers. I realized it was because of the hurricane but in this area in this heat, that should be fixed asap if the park is to be used in the summer. The Umps did a good job with our games. No outrageous calls. When we got there Saturday at 7am for out 8am game on field J, the posting said our game was at 11:00am on some other field. So the rearranging was a bit confusing. I would have expected it to be that way if it had been raining. As for the MC Elite or Texas Elite or what ever they call their selves now..I heard that he picked up extra pool games. Doesn't that screw up the schedule? That team was a sad sight. There were a whole two people in their stands. Every tournament he has new players. Its like a revolving door. I guess its good for him because he does not give the players their money back once they figure him out and leave the team. But all and all our weekend wasn't as bad as some of the other teams was.
  6. Im pretty positive the net was stolen. There were two buckets sitting inside the net to keep it from blowing off. Who ever took the net took the buckets out and left them. Normally one bucket has a very expensive catchers mit in it, but I took it out and left it in the truck. Had a feeling. I have never felt comfortable leaving stuff like that but everyone does it. I have never let my girls leave their bat bags even though people do that all the time too. I dont want to give someone $600 worth of bats. Actually with two girls on the team we could lose $1200 worth of bats if we left them laying around. I just want people to know not to get too comfortable with leaving your stuff.
  7. For whom ever stole the brand new jugs net at this tournament at the complex on College St...... Congratulations. You made our brand new teams very first tournament a memorable one. > But its ok. Because if there is one thing I know for sure..[glow=red,2,300]Karma is a bi*ch!![/glow] 8)
  8. Somehow you've still missed the point of the whole thing...you've got to WANT to learn and do what's right for all the girls safety and the good of the game. I don't remember saying that we don't WANT to learn or we don't WANT to do whats right for the girls safety or the good of the game. I was trying to say that those of us that are less superior as you don't know all the rules of the game yet. Like I said, we are still learning.
  9. I think I know why everyone was so moody this weekend. The bathrooms there at that park were the most disgusting that I have come across in a long time. I tend to get a little pissy when sewer backs up thru the floor on to my feet when I flush. As far as the girls blocking the bases, they are still learning. They havent been around all that long. Dont always assume that these girls are trying to play dirty.
  10. If the ump is brand new and its his very first day, is it really a good idea for him to be behind the plate on a championship game? I do not mean to offend any umps, I havent a clue on how extensive training is.
  11. I forgot to mention that i do have an agenda. It is that he will see these postings and he will stop and think about how he talks to these girls. Isnt that just the worst thing in the world or not?
  12. My remarks have nothing to do with the coaching of the game. As far as that goes our coach pretty much knows what he's doing. Its the personal insults that I have a problem with. Its not about wether or not my child gets to play. She always gets to play. Its not just the insults that my child gets, its about 8 other girls also. If it was something physical or worse should we keep quite about it for the sake of the team? Or because poor coach has to coach for a living since he chose to coach for a living. Is it not young minds that the coach is shaping? Could he possibly be teaching these young girls that its ok to be verbally abused by someone who is supposed to care about them? Verbal abuse is abuse. And come on, the person that wants to come to my job and yell at me like a ingnorant parent that thinks her little angel is not getting enough playing time....how about reversing that. Lets say your boss came to you screaming that your an *f*ing idiot, I cant believe how stupid you are, you fat cow, if you cant do your job right im going to fire you! What? You would sit there and smile and figure that after the 10th time he's still just having a bad day?
  13. If the coach is telling the girls that they are too fat or their stupid or telling one girls she's the reason they lost even when no one on the team got a point on the board or they have a different set of standards for the players he does like then its the coach thats bringing the bad karma. Its not always just an obnoxious disgruntled fan or parent. Some times it really is the coaching. Some coaches need to realize that their players are human beings. And you know if those coaches had a kid that was being severly degraded by someone else, I bet they wouldnt keep their mouth shut either.
  14. Same story, different town. DAYTON ??? What makes coaches think that girls will play hard if they are degraded?
