  1. Why do people have to stir up crud over youth sports? Both wos and BC have great teams in Jr.high! They are 13-14 year old young men who give their all ! That's why we are there...to support them! Win or lose! Was it nice to see BC win last year? YES!  But wos never gives up! In my opinion after 12plus years in BC youth football...that's why BC is better!! Teams like wos showing us to never give up! Also all of our transplant wos dads who have taught that wos tradition to BC football! And yes I'm ready for some 8th grade football this year!  Go BC!            Thanks,  RoyAdams
  2. Senior only in Bridge City at the high school field. 1:00pm 3:00 5:00 7:00. I do know that BC vs WOS is at 7:00pm dont know others. I think the JR. and Pee Wee are in nederland. Dont know times. Good luck to all.
  3. We will have links and boudain. I think we will play WOS in first rd. As long as Rod is on that coaching staff and he is coaching WOS will be feared. WOS is full of talent. When someone goes dn they always have someone else. We hope to hold our ground and make it a game. Unlike last year. Sorry Payton this is when I want to see you lose. Come baseball or if you beat us I will pull for you again. We got to stop your stick and move now. LOL Love you little man!
  4. We pulled our backfield 2nd quarter. Ran the same play the entire second half with 2nd 3rd and 4th string backs. Asked coach to run the clock 2nd half and he refused twice. The final score was 36-7 Sorry you feel this way by no means were we running score up. Have too many friends in mid county and went to school there till my jr. year. If PNG WHITE would put that Abel kid in backfield to run the ball it would help them. He runs hard and hits hard. He will help a kid up after he makes them see little birdies. Seems like a good kid. The whole team acted that way. Good kids. Have a good day and rest of the season. Roy Adams asst. coach BC senior team and board member. Hope you at least ate something off my pit. We will have the pit at the playoffs for seniors at BC high school. So come hungry. Hope to have some turkey legs.
  5. Plenty of support Dennis, Rusty and myself have teasted the weight limit its all good. At the same time. With Hollywood Rick Ash, looks like the game you need to be at next week is the Jr. BC vs. WOS White 1pm in BC. Heck, I coach another game that day and I wish I could make it... BC- 41 WOS-W- 54 Ned Gold- 6 PNG-P- 0 P.S. If you do, could you shot it from the Endzone and send me a copy??? I'll see what I can do, but I usually move along the sidelines when a shoot. BC has a nice new press box 10 ft up at midfield with a coach's nest covered roof. Perfect to scout and film your games. We will even let TD up there but we will charge him. lol Going to work on it some more good luck to everyone. I may just find my way up there. Not to film though. I don't think we have anyone that even films our games. If both of us are going to be up there you may want to do some reinforcing of the coaches nest. ;D

  7. A lot of the reason these boys did what they did was because these coach's became more than just coach's to these boys. They were friends. Good friends who care not just if these boys strike out a player or hit a home run but care if there grades are good they act right at steak and shake. Make sure when they are down or sick they are tended to.They are these boys 2nd dad. I trust my son with these coach's any time. They are family!!! Thanks guys We were sticking and moving right Payton. 1 nick 7 on a groove. Roy Adams
  8. 10UAAA GTB RED WON 2nd in World Series. Went 9-3 coming out of losers bracket and having to beat the Houston Drillers(state champs) twice. Won first game 8-2 lost 2nd 3-2. These boys played their hearts out. They came together as a team at the right time of the year. The players are Joseph Adams Bridge City, Kyle Bergeron Bridge City, Byron Trahan Bridge City, Dylan Anthony Orangefield, Payton Robertson WOS, Trey Toney PNG, Nathan Vidrine PNG, Brandon Morse PNG, Brandon Young Lumberton, Steven Landry lumberton. Coach's are Roderick Robertson, Chad Trahan, Scott Anthony and Carry Young. These coach's have done a great job with these boys all year long. But coming thru the loser bracket they had to go to a higher level of coaching than ever before for us.They did it!! GREAT JOB PLAYERS AND COACHS!! Kyle Bergeron won offensive mvp of tournament. 16 hits. We had 6 home runs Brandon Young 2, Trey Toney 2, Joseph Adams 1, Dylan Anthony 1. One of Treys was a grand slam to break a 1-1 tie after a rain out and on full count. 23 teams in tournament.
  9. BC JR. won 32-13 against Vidor White. I just want to tell the rest of STJFL to be ready for the amount of support Vidor brings to town. They came in force. I believe that was the most we have ever had show up from a visiting team. Great fans and great coach's. They kept the BBQ pit going. I do not remember all of the scores but our flag lost the Pee Wee Red lost. The Pee Wee white won and the SR.s won also. We are young but have a lot of heart. Go BC!!
  10. When will it be on the website? You will probally get a copy from your STJFL REP.this week before it is on the website.
  11. Lumberton is big. BC defense looks better than last year. A couple of good pass plays by BC. Several sacks by BC. Did not hear a lot of that last year. Still not a big fan of the spread inside the 20. We did score from the 2 with it though. I hope for 4-5 wins this year.
  12. We are small. Our other Jr. team is a little bigger. We just hope we can compete. We are green. Most of are Jrs. from last year moved up to SR.
  13. The schedules have to be sent to the refs and they set their schedules. They have the Lone Star League to ref also. I would think it would be by next week at the latest. How is WOS JRS Looking? I know KJ'S quick legs are always ready. I am with BC JRS.
  14. Vidor 15 - 5, They waited to long to put in Ozio. Starting pitcher gave up 9 runs. A 3 run shot and a grand slam to the same kid.
  15. Ask Roman Carpenter. I think he has a team with them on it.
  16. Caleb Adams is considered a 14. May birthday. Jamie Clark is the other 15.
  17. SR. TEAM DYLAN BARTON JOSH OZIO JAMIE CLARK BEN STEELE CALEB ADAMS CAMERON COULTER JESSIE DUE CHANCE LEMOINE DLAN MUMBACH TYLER LEBLANC COLE ASHBY HUNTER CLARK Can not remember the entire JR. team. MITCHEL HUBBARD,AUSTIN SCALES,JEROMEY WATKINS,JUSTIN BRADLEY,JACCOB LEMOINE,ZACK COLE,DALTON DISHON,DYLAN TRAHAN,JACCOB BROWN,BRYSON BANKS,KEATON HILL,TANNER CERVENKO (sorry if mis- spelled)
  18. We play Tuesday at BC . If any rain probably at Vidor our outfield needs more dirt. Game times have been at 7:30. We lost our first game 12-4 and we won last night 9-8. We have a lot of 15 year olds that are not playing all- stars. Vidor has a good sound team. We only have 3 or 4 15 year olds on the team the rest are 14. This is a 15-16 year old league. I watched a couple of the players from Vidor drive up to the game. Dylan Barton pitched a great game last night. He went 6 innings on 94 pitches. 95 is our limit. We hit the ball this game and gave our pitcher some support. Our first game we did not hit the ball. Ozio pitched our first game but the strike zone was tight that night.
  19. BC and Vidor are the only two in District 32. BC plays in Vidor on Tues. at 7:30. Then we come to BC on Thursday. Game three if needed will be back at Vidor on Tues. Our JR. team plays in BC on Tues. at 7:30. This is at the little league parks. It would be nice to be able to play these at our high school. Maybe you could put that in our new coach's ear for next year circle change.
  20. The future is bright for BC and Orangefield. Good job boys!!
  21. That would be a hard decision for any dad who wants the best for his son. When my son was 10 he played select and league ball. He loved it for two years and stop playing select to play league ball. It killed me for him not to play select. Select made him a better player. It made him good enough to make all- stars in league play. I did not push him after he made his decision. He kept his confidence from select ball and this past year made the freshman team. He did continue to take hitting lessons from Sam Moore and continues with Rodrick Robertson. He enjoys being with his friends. I have a 9 yr. old playing both right now and loves it. Little league has been fun for him but the talent is such a big difference than select. If he ask me to go select only I would more than likely do what he wanted to do. If they are not happy then the whole family is going to be effected by this. You have the whole summer to think it over. A 8-9 yr. old changes his mind a lot. Good luck
  22. These teams are made up of Bridge City, Orangefield, Vidor, Port Neches- Groves, Lumberton and WOS. This tells you that the talent in this area runs deep. Great group of kids and great set of coach's.
