LU STRONG

Do you all think stump has the job wrapped up? Here is my top ten list for he won't get it: 10. He's a high school coach 9. He's not the most qualified candidate 8. What has he really done lately? 7. He's a high school coach 6. Can he mix with the high level donors as well as the regular joe schmoes? i'm not so sure he can. 5. He wouldn't be able to bring in a top notch staff underneath him 4. his name won't attract the big dollars we need. 3. he's a high school coach 2. we need someone who has already infiltrated the college ranks and has connections and I don't mean ten years in the past. 1. HE'S A HIGH SCHOOL COACH!! There must be someone else??

well, there has been an official Francione siting on campus today!! So I would say BT is getting the big boys to come to campus Also, I know for a fact that if LU begins play in 2010, they will start competing in SLC in 2011.

from what I've heard, he hasn't even been given a first contract to sign!! big mistake if its true.

I heard from someone at Channel Six that almost 3,000 dollar tickets were sold for tonight!!!

This is the first time I have written on this board, but I had to take this opportunity to vent some of my frustration. I am sure many of you will share it with me. I used to think ABTR that this might be true...if we won and if the stars were aligned we could get 8,000 in the stands, but after the pathetic crowd we had last night for a team who is now 10-1 in conference, in first place, and on a 9 game win streak. Add to that the fact that this is homecoming week and 4,700 is ridiculous!! The only reason we had that many in stands is because the students finally showed up. They were great by the way! I wish they would come out like that more often. So, I say all that to emphasize the point that Bob West has made on several occasions...Southeast Texas SUCKS as a sports town for anything besides High School football.
