  1. I'll go out on a limb and offer my predictions for playoff spots in Boys 38-4A. In no specific order: Nederland - always a playoff bid regardless of who they lose, and I believe they're returning with a few 3/4 year varsity players. Strong team. PNG - Copy & Paste 'Nederland' with an amazing keeper in there as well. LCM - Seniors Garhett Bonneaux and Mitch Heil will be heading up a team that I hear could be starting 8 or 9 seniors. Vidor - Don't count out Coach Wedel. Good luck to all coaches and players.
  2. Haha, wow. District 38 gets stronger and District 37 gets weaker. I'm going to go out on a limb an say that any team from District 38 could compete to qualify for playoffs in 37 had they been switched. No offense to District 37 players, coaches and fans of course, it's not as if they control their alignment.
  3. There was a "fight" in this game, which i'm sure is what this post is reffering to. An LCM player commited a hard foul on a Silsbee player. The LCM player was walking away with his back turned to the Silsbee player, when the Silsbee player ran after the LCM player and punched him in the side of the face from behind his back. The result was a couple of players already on the field pushing and shoving to seperate teammates, and the Silsbee bench (which was closest to the action) clearing and most of the players coming on the field. One of the players from the Silsbee bench proceeded the blindside the same LCM player (who was barely on his feet, stumbling around, and clearly unable to defend himself) with another hit to the side of the face. Coaches from both teams performed admirably in keeping their players out of the scenario and keeping the event from escalating, excluding the one extra player who entered in. Red cards were administered to both players from Silsbee, and a yellow to the LCM player. The LCM player suffered no serious injuries, but i believe the second person to hit him recieved a broken hand. For the record, I've seen a clear video of this incident numerous times and own a copy myself.
  4. Hmmm.... I couldn't guess. It should be a great game, it just depends on who wants it more.
  5. 1-0 Lumberton. Could any other fans that were at the game tell me the problem was with #2 on Lumberton's side? EDIT: That's the final score......
  6. LCM wins in a 35-yard shootout. 1-1 at the end of regulation, scoreless in OT, and LCM had a 2-1 advantage in shootout.
  7. I got a phone-in of LCM over Central 3-2 in OT. A pretty violent game, too.
