We can kind of relate to u over here at LCM. We have a great soccer coach, but our athletic director and other coaches at the campus think of us as a joke. We made playoffs this year and still have no where near respect. The other day one of our football coaches(theres about 15 of them) told one of the football players, "Run around that JUNK!"(they were running around us). One of us turned around and asked if we had really just been called junk and he said yes and sort of laughed about it. Thats RIDICULOUS!

I carry a benchmade and have skinned deer, hogs, squirrels, you name it and my knife can cut it. After using it I just run it through a warthog blade sharpener a couple of times and its razor sharp again. By the way if you have never heard of the warthog blade sharpener you ought to look it up because its a great tool.

LCM volleyball.... with statements like the one above makes me regret moving my kids to this school District !! Have some pride! When the bashing comes from within LCM, one does not have to look far to see where the problem lies. There is no REAL SCHOOL PRIDE !!! Other sports would respect Moody if he respected other sports. I'll give you a scenario that happened TODAY in athletics. A football player was running through an area outside of our field house. Me and a couple of my other teammates on the soccer team along with our coach were also outside, standing and talking. When the football player ran up to where we were, Coach Moody stated and I quote, "Run around that JUNK!" Our soccer Coach simply turned and asked if he had really just called us JUNK and Moody said yes and sort of laughed about it. Someone ought to remind him that soccer is the only male sport at LCM that has made playoffs this year so far(Baseball probably will). And I would also like to state like I have before that it will be a long time before the LCM football program turns around.

MVP-Brent Waldrup(Lumberton) Keeper of the Year-Ethan Mckay(LCM) Defensive MVP-Scott Poole(started to play a lot of offense at the end of the year) or could go to any one probably someone from Nederland or LCM(maybe Colt Arteaga he was a huge asset and got first team last year as a sophomore) Newcomer of the Year- Bay Callaway( I think that is the Nederland Kid with the fro) or LCM had two freshmen who started every game(Garrett Bonneaux and Vance Foster) Offensive MVP- could be Craig Leger(LCM) maybe Fernando Uribe(I think every time Central scored it was him) and yes Mark Brackin(but he was overshadowed by Brent and I didn't see his name much for goals, yet on another team he could have been a huge player) Utility MVP- Tim Reynolds(Vidor)

The soccer system is based on a point scale. LCM was third in points. Nederland was second in points. Lumberton was first in points. I think Nike5 was saying that he thought that LCM was the next best team besides Lumberton regardless of how the points came out. When LCM and Nederland played they were very evenly matched. The first game LCM won in a shootout and the second game Nederland won in a shootout. Yet, when both teams played Lumberton I think LCM gave them a better run for their money. In LCM's first game with Lumberton, Lumberton won 1-0 and in the second game Lumberton had a comeback to tie the game and then won in a shootout.

I'm not sure if those standings are correct I think Vidor has 34 and Central has 33.

I would play that game 100 times before I played a different game it truly was an awesome game.

so we beat ozen the 1st time 6-0 so it actually doesent mean yall will win again. Ozen is an ok team but if yall taked them lightly they could be yall worst nightmare The first time yall played Ozen Fernando played, the second time I believe he was out(correct me if im wrong). LCM doesn't have just one player who can change the whole outcome of the game like central, they have more depth.

This is not the reason and it was dumb to post this. But in yalls defense like i posted early its not like yall were trying to run up the score, this conversation comes up every year and every year people have the same arguments about it. And LCM scored 9 on WOS in the first half(starters weren't even playing) and only scored three headers in the second half, if they wanted to run up the score it would have been a lot worse.

It will be a few years before LCM turns things around.

The last time Ozen and LCM played it was 5-0. I doubt they let a playoff chance slip away.

You can't change what the UIL puts together, but I think everyone can guess which teams are going to go to playoffs

In Lumberton's defense I was told that WOS was just standing around and talking, not taking the game serious at all. From what I heard they didn't care much that they were getting scored on.

Lumberton - 48 Nederland- 39 LCM- 35 Vidor- 31 Central- 30 PNG- 28 as of march 11, 2008 looks like the top 3 teams here are going to playoffs, I doubt anyone catches them

So from what I understand it will be the top 4 teams from each of these two districts going to playoffs?

Mustangfan is nearly 100% correct last year when I was on the JV team we "LCM" placed third in district at the JV level but all of that team's coaches have left except for the one that no one liked and we all quit. Some of this was because all of the other sports we played had a more promising future but the coaches didnt help the amount of players that came back

It was a well played game that got kind of rough towards the end. I think LCM had 2 yellows and PNG had 3.To score their goal, PNG did a great job of capitalizing when LCM's defenders made a bad play. LCM had a beautiful run from half field to tie it up. Overall I think LCM had a little more control and led in shots, but it was a pretty close game.

the score could have been very different considering the amount of shots, vidor's keeper played very well

The twins colt artega and seth artega names are actually spelled Arteaga it seems to get mispelled everywhere

Can Ozen actually move the ball up and down the field, do they have any control in the middle? I don't see how Vidor and Central can beat them with no problem, yet PNG barely wins and didnt control the game.
