Everyone on here knows this is about the kids. I am a football coach in a youth league, I know that, as does Piratefan, 4life, and Capt. Claude and all these other guys you say are "living through their kids". Everyone thinks that they can come on here and say whatever they want and add "its about the kids" and that makes them feel all warm and fuzzy. I like football, I like to watch it, coach it, and play it. If I want to get on here and toot my own horn because I beat Deweyville (sorry Capt.) and Silsbee (sorry Mark) then I should be able to, without some yayhoo coming on here and bashing me because its a youth sport. I outcoached an opposing coach or my team was the better team that day because of my (coaches) way of teaching or play calling. I teach my philosophy, Claude teaches his philosophy, who knows what philosphy Larry is is teaching but its different for each coach. We are teaching these kids to be competitive and we are being competitive with them. Its fun for us to do this. Its fun for me and my coaches (friends) to sit around after the game and talk about what happened, what we could have done different, and other stuff like that. I'm not living through my kids, I'm involved in their lives, and have made some great friends along the way. What team are your kids on? What association are you with? Do your kids play in LoneStar or STJFL? Who are you? My name is Barry and I am with Hardin-Jefferson. I know my boys aren't going to be proffessional, but if they get their college paid for, well that's great, and if that don't happen well I made some great friends and my kids will remember, that their dad was involved in their life. You obviously don't know me so you wouldn't know if you hit a nerve or not. I think before you have discussion with more mature people, that you learn proper english. I agree with Barry...why do fans in the stands get to be excited about the team winning but when a coach does it we are not out there for the kids...as long as I am teaching them the right way to play and how to be a team player and to have pride in themselves and their city...why do i not get to enjoy myself and talk smack to some of the other coaches who are doing the same things....now i agree that when a coach puts aside sportsmanship and teaches his kids the wrong way to play the game then yes he is not their for the kids....every week i paint our kids faces....pass out at-a-boys to them for the way they played...among other things to create excitement and give them lasting memories...but guess what.....i hate to lose as much as anyone....what makes it easier is that i remember how much fun the kids have playing especially when they reach Friday Night Lights....I have coach youth sports for over ten years and never had a child of mine playing...but guess what when my son starts next year I will still do things the same way and my kid have pride in himself despite me living through him as you say

the problem lies where you make statements about a VJFA decision to remove someone that broke Lonestar rules...you are not a board member now nor were you a board member then so you have no clue what you talking about....i was there then and i am still here now and know first hand who i was lied from....VJFA lives because of good people who did stand by Lonestar and not the ideals of people like you...if this was truly about kids and not a few people getting their feelings hurt then Vidor just might have beeen unified and all playing together....but couldnt all agree so we arent....

first thing he did wrong was trying to pretend he is VJFA after posting under a STJFL score blog that he was VPIFA in STJFL....the guy is really confused.....maybe he really is VPIFA but cant spell it so it comes out VJFA which is shorter...

then why are you still in VJFA.....if your so against Lonestar.....i back Lonestar because I know the truth about last year and you sir or maam dont...you ask anyone of the VJFA board this year if this year is better than last year and they will all agree with me....again if your not happy with VJFA or Lonestar their is another league for you to agree with....

dont speak about something that you dont have a clue about...as far as us being the smallest in Lonestar ...if you were here before we grew to 9 teams then you will see that we like things like they are...we went back to our roots when VJFA was respected by all who played for us and by the league that VJFA helped found...you evidently do not play for VJFA or it would be obvious to you that we are better off without those who wanted to go against Lonestar rules...in fact as it stands right now we have 2 out of 3 teams in the playoffs which is better than the previous years before the split...so unless you have the guts to say who you are then keep your mouth shut....Claude I can tell you that I have checked all the coaches emails addresses and and the parent email addresses from last year and this year and this person is not listed....so in my opinion he is not VJFA Thanks, 4life but you know it doesn't matter as you and I have dealt with people like this for years only to determine you just can't fix stupid! well i know you know VJFA as a majority is Lonestar for life

as of today it looks like we made the playoffs at the junior level behind Buna and Deweyville
