  1. Looking to fill last two spots for Surge Baseball 16u team.  Season starts June 4th. Call Rusty McRight 886-6640 670-8520
  2. All positions are filled for both the 18u and the 16u teams. Thank you
  3. Due to kids having games last weekend, I will hold a second tryout to give all a fair shake at making the teams.  We will hold tryouts this Saturday the 23rd at 12 noon.  Junior Field behind the community center in Bridge City.  Thanks for your interest in Surge Baseball. Rusty McRight 670-8520
  4. I have been asked to consider two teams this year, and have a 16u Surge team as well.  I will do so only after I see the interest and the talent level at tryouts from players across the area.  So if your interested in playing 16u from June to Nov.  Come to the Surge Baseball tryouts Saturday the 16th of April, at 12 noon.  To be held at the junior baseball field behind the community center off of Roundbunch St. in Bridge City.  If you have any questions, respond to this forum, or call 670-8520.  Your cost is uniforms and players portion of tournament fees only.
  5. Surge Baseball will be holding tryouts for it's summber league on April 16th, 12 noon, at the junior league baseball field in Bridge City.  Field is behind the Community Center.  We play Showcase tournaments, two a month, and cost is only for uniforms and players portion of tournament entry fee.  We play mostly in the Houston area but will be entering tournaments with Southeast Texas Junior Colleges, and small D1 schools.  Our season runs from June to November.  Respond if interested, or show up for tryouts.  Primarily looking for pitchers, and outfielders.  Just a few spot available.  Great group last year, looking to contiue that success again this year.
  6. Define "Normal All-Star Team". According to LL rules the all stars come from your individual league, and if im not mistaken, all of BC players come from the BC/OF area. I wasn't at the game, but I heard about it, and I also know that the dogs were called off early. Extra base hits were held to a single, passed balls were uneventful for the runners on base, and finally the coach gave up his turn at bat. What more did you want? Felt sorry for the boys? Me too! Don't you wish you had individuals that loved the game to spend the past two years with our youth of today to teach them America's game. BC does. Maybe if you did, the talking could be done from the field instead of whinning from the stands. It's all about practice and desire. If you spend the time at anything, you will become proficient at it. I see your pretty good at whinning. Do something about it.....take time and teach them if you know the game. These kids two years ago couldn't bust a grape with a hammer, and didn't know squat about fly balls, how to field a grounder, base running....etc. They are sponges, put a little water on them, and watch them grow!!
  7. Sparks hit a shot to RF for a base hit. Then they called a balk on the pitcher, and called Sparks back to the plate. Don't know about the rule there, thats just what went down.
  8. Bridge City Cardinals...............9 Camron Yoe............................5 Final Score
  9. Ball sent to RF, and Scales makes the catch. Runner on 3rd scores making it 9 to 5 BC. one out away.
