  1. Great job Hornets. Does anyone know who we play next and where?
  2. Congrats to the Hornets. Great job tonight. You never cease to amaze me, Play hard next week. Playoffs are in your sights now. I bet Buna won't look over you next time.
  3. Well Hardin just blew your prediction on Buna's 6 - 0 Season. Don't count out Anahuac. Buna may have another loss
  4. Hardin had Shepard scheduled for their Homecoming. But there was a little ole STORM called IKE that changed a few things. It sholuld be a good game. Hardin has had some difficulties and intertermoil this year. Hopefully they will get thing lined out and be ready to play.
  5. Mitch Villemez has been racking up a lot of yards so far. I haven't seen many others play. Raymomd and the back from Anahuac are doing quite well. But I am giving my vote to Mitch.
  6. I'm not sure of the answer to that one, but I can bet its been a while. Correct me if I'm wrong but its been a few years. I heard from Haynes we defeated EC in 1993. That's a long time to lose one team. I don't think anyone other than the kids believed they could win. Great game, they never gave up and never quit. I am looking forward to the rest of the season. I too was concerned at the begining of the season, and after Anahuac, that it would be a long season. Jeremy, Stelly and Mitch are doing a great job of learning a new system. Great job by coaching staff finding a system that works with the personnel. With only three seniors they will only get better. They need to stay focused this week. Too many late nights at the TVE and lack of focus could hurt this week. No easy teams in this district this year. GOOD LUCK HORNETS FEEL THE STING
  7. We need 1 more 14U or first year 16U team to play in Liberty on Sunday Aug 17th. If interested you please PM me. The ony cost will be for umpires. We wil begin games around 2:00.
  8. What is your teams policy on team funds? How much do teams charge for dues and what all does this cover? If a person quits the team does this person typically get the monies back that they have generated from fundraisers, Or is this team money? Is team money used to purchased eqiupment, other than balls and incidentals, if so who keeps the equipment should something happen to the team? I am courious how other teams handle Money issues. I am not trying to get to personal; just trying to do the right thing.
  9. Somehow you've still missed the point of the whole thing...you've got to WANT to learn and do what's right for all the girls safety and the good of the game. I don't remember saying that we don't WANT to learn or we don't WANT to do whats right for the girls safety or the good of the game. I was trying to say that those of us that are less superior as you don't know all the rules of the game yet. Like I said, we are still learning. BINGO! finally. You didn't say it, but you left it up in the air. We too, and certainly I, still have a ton to learn about this game. I learn and see something new every tournament. But my point was that in two consecutive innings this rule and concern was discussed between the opposing (Crush) coaches and the umpiring crew. They were not arguing any points, just trying to draw the whole group into discussing what the situation was. To my knowledge you never got involved. I don't recall ever being asked to join in any discussion. That may be issue within itself. I have a great respect for the umpires crew and the job they do. Maybe we should drop this discussion and move on from here. There are more issues we could bring up but I will leave it there. Thanks, another lesson learned. Good Luck to the Crush.
  10. Sorry we are still learning. We did not realize it was a against the rules to cheer for another team once you were eliminated. Even if the other team had a former player and friend playing on the team. Please forgive us. We will not give up. We will continue to play and learn, no matter how much water we have poured on us.
  11. The 94 Texas Thunder look forward to playing this weekend. We are glad to return the favor for all of the GT teams that came and supported us in Liberty. We are still looking for a couple of players. We have lost three players in the last couple of weeks. We still have enough to play, but not not many in reserves.
  12. The 94 Texas Thunder is looking for a Shortstop that can hit and plays good defense. Someone with a 94 birthday preferred so that that can grow with us, we will definitely look at 93's that are ready to play now. We are made up of girls from Dayton, Hardin and Liberty. Practices and tryouts are in Liberty. If you are interested in trying out please contact DuWayne Thornton @ [email protected] or 936.334.4954. Tryouts will begin Thursday 4/24 @ 6:30 in Liberty. 17. I believe what head 13 may have been trying to say was that Hardin may have lost the game one way or the other. They may have also won the game. Bad officiating can effect a game either way. If head13 had placed a comma after the word outcome in the sentence you have in bold it may have made sense to you. You should as you have requested others to do take a little more time to read the post. Grammar and spelling is not its best on this or any other forum. As you said our opinion of the officiating will not affect the outcome of the game. I do wish some one would send a tape of the game to the UIL for review. Bad officiating is hard to overcome, for either team. Calls can be missed on either side which may affect or may not affect the outcome of a game. I will have to give it to Coach Joubert. He had his boys up and ready to play this game. I have always liked Joubert had supported him in full force. He coached my nephew when he was a freshman, in Joubert's first year in Hardin. He taught him to play with all of his heart and to never give up. He always ask about him every time I see him. All of that being said I am Boycotting any and all games in Kountze. Not that means anything to anyone on here. It seems as though you never get a fair game when playing In Kountze. Bad officiating is hard to overcome. Biased Officiating is Impossible. I have always tried to act respectful at any Youth type activity. It is extremely hard and was impossible for me to do that at Fridays game. I have supported all of Hardin's athletic events even if I did not have any relative playing or if they where having a losing season. As we have done so many times. I will continue my support for the Hardin Hornets but not when they are playing there. It is my hope and prayer that thing will change as I have a daughter that is involved in athletics at the Jr. High level. As I said no one probably cares. That is how I feel and my opinion. I do not have sour grapes for losing the game. It was not the first or will it be the last game any of us has lost.
  18. I am sorry I thought you were talking about his Character. You were talking about the way he was playing when Kountze lost. We all know that Kountze plays a good clean game and never fouls. Joubert would never step in front of a player while he was running down the court. Or were you at the game last year. We will be waiting on the red carpet and the usual Kountze refs when we get there.
  19. Why would you want to start something like that? Do you even know him? I have known him since he was in Elementry School. He is a good young man. How about you? How is your Character? Do you have any facts to backup that statement?
  20. Good luck to Coach Parker and Morgan. Hope you continue to role. Folks from Hardin are pulling for you. Carthage wins by 6
  21. They may want to start pushing right after lunch on Thursday. It a long way to Crosby. LOL. Good luck to you guys from Crawford. Is President Bush going to be there. Hopefully the rain will hold off. Cooler weather would be nice. [move]FEEL THE STING[/move]
  22. Good luck to the Hornets. Don't let these few days off get you relaxed. Stay focused and ready to play. You have to go into every game playing to win not trying to keep from losing. Keep that winning attitude. Don't let any one tell you that you don't deserve to be here. Seniors come out fighting and keep fighting. This is your last year don't let it stop Friday. Keep on making history. Jordan you are a leader, keep leading them to another victory. [move]FEEL THE STING[/move]
  23. That is true. Hardin is still in the playoffs. EC cleaned out their lockers this week. Just think had you not won you would have cleaned them out the week before. It may have very well been in our favor to have lost depending on who we would have played had we won. EC had a lot more riding on the game than did Hardin. It was a great season see you next year. Hopefully Hardin will do a better job. From 2-8 to 9-2 this year and still going. It is nice to have a winning season and a winning attitude. Maybe it won't go to their heads.
