  1. I'm not sure how the people in Jefferson and Hardin counties feel about this issue but I can tell you with a certain degree of confidence the students from Orange and Newton counties will vote heavily in favor of the referendum.
  2. I believe there will be a higher than expected turnout of students voting on the sports referendum.
  3. I wouldn't expect to beat out McNeese State the next few years on athletes but with the right leadership/coaching staff in time Lamar University could compete with any FCS school in this region for players.
  4. Can't think of better men to consult regarding football at any level then the only two people to win a National Championship at the Division I level and a Super Bowl in the NFL.
  5. Watching a 375 member marching band perform will be a great treat for the Lamar faithful.
  6. From the administrators at Lamar as well as the students I have interaction with to reading this article, it sounds like they are confident of a positive outcome with the student vote. Good luck to the Cards as they build a football program. My hope is everyone will remember Rome wasn't built in a day.
  7. I'm not a hardcore baskeball fan. I really don't know how good UC-Irvine is.
  8. Pardon me, I think Coach Roccaforte needs at least five years.
  9. You can forget a HS coach. The new head coach at Lamar will not be from the HS ranks.
  10. I would believe they would sell the suites for the season and not for individual games.
  11. I would hope the administration give the man at least years. It's not like Lamar was a national power yesterday. Many years they haven't even been competitive in the SLC. The head coach needs and deserves more than 2 years!
