RULES?  Man, all this time and I'm just finding out there is a set of rules to go by.  Who is in charge here?  I did not get a copy of the rules.  Tell the teacher that she needs to make more copies of the rules and hand them out.  Also, call President Obama and tell him to come to Texas and straighten this thing out, he may need to bring the Supreme Court with him. Never mind I just could not resist the rant. Seriously, BH has taken a whole lot of junk from Dayton this year (I dished some of it out myself) and you have taken it in stride.  Thanks for being a good sport about it and congrats to BH 8th grade on the win tonight. That would make them 1 and 1 against each other this year.  So far nobody owns anyone in 4 years.

Dayton and Barbers Hill are going at it today for the 7th and 8th grades.  I think the 8th is at BH and the 7th is at Dayton.  They were very good games earlier this season.

Still one of smallest 4A schools in the state... BH Football 2009..quit giving up the football ! Make the playoffs avg'ing 3-5 to's a game....You got some athletes. [/quote] I agree with you there.  BH does have good quality athletes and being one of the smallest schools does hurt in 4A.  But I have noticed something that will make us all smile, that is the four smallest schools in our district made the playoffs and the largest schools in our district will have to sit in the stands and watch us, come playoff time

I have not seen the words "poor talent" used that way, but I think this is still a football thread.  I have not made reference to any other sports, just football.  I think there are other sports somewhere on this site.

As for the Crosby games it was the same results with only the Varsity losing.  The Dayton Freshman are 5 and 0 against Crosby over the last 3 seasons with Crosby never getting any closer than 30 points.

I don't think they will blow through district in 2 - 3 years.  They did not even blow through district this year.  Both 7th grade teams, both 8th grade teams, both 9th grade teams, the JV and the Varsity ALL lost to Dayton.  I think that Dayton will be the only one blowing through district for several years.

#1 in my heart is Bishop Byrne High School in Port Arthur.  Byrne does not exist anymore and when I moved to Dayton many years ago I fell in love with 2 things about Dayton, #1, my wife and #2 Dayton High School Football.  Now my son has entered the program this year as a Freshman so my support has magnified several times.

A few Dayton 9th A stats Dayton's defense held Galena Park to zero first downs, minus 20 yards rushing on 14 attempts and 0 for 4 passing with 2 of those attempts being intercepted and one of those going all of the way back for a TD. Dayton's offense gained 150 yards rushing on 12 attempts and our quarterback threw seven times, all complete for 125 yards and 3 TD's. Dayton's 9th A was really rolling tonight. They are now 9 & 0 and no one has come within 20 points of them.
