  3. [Hidden Content] La Vega sophomore Chris Parr rushed 23 times for 109 yards and caught two passes for 97 yards in his team's 40-13 area-round victory over Crockett last week. "He's a tough runner; he's a good receiver," Hooks said of Parr, who has 1,609 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns. "He caught a screen pass against Crockett that really broke their back early in the game, so we've got to do something about him." Williams said Wilson effectively fakes handoffs and then throws downfield. Hooks said Dennis and Gloston will need to remain committed to receivers so the rest of the WO-S defense can focus on Parr. "They're not an option team and that helps," Hooks said. "Teams that run the option make you play assignment football. These teams are running more sweeps and stuff where you can see the ball and it's just a matter of doing something about it."
