  1. I don't think so. The Raider D is too tough. Central will not score 35.
  2. You may be right if all it takes to win in football is talent. But it will take a whole lot more than what they can do to beat the Raiders this year. They're clickin. Raiders by more than one possession.
  3. Not to down NED at all but there were 4 turnovers in the first half of a wet football game. Central lost the T/O battle not the speed are power battle!
  4. Team Stats Bridge City Lumberton Total yards 142 444 First downs 11 17 Rushes/Yds 23/52 40/341 Average rush 2.26 8.53 Comp/Atts 12/35 6/9 Pass yards 90 103 Punts 5 0 Punting Yards 147 0 Punting Average 29.4 0 Fumbles/Lost 1/1 3/1 Penalties-yards 5-35 10-90
  5. Back when Lumberton was 3a only two teams went to the playoffs unlike todays three. They were 8-2 back then and the only two that beat them did make it.
  6. Nope, didn't play the same teams as now. But, considering enrollment was half what it is now and the pool size to draw talent from and that they played schools of their peers, 8-2 was quite remarkable.
  7. the 91 - 92 Raiders were 8-2. Would have gone to the playoffs if it were today where three teams go instead of only two like back then. Conditioning, conditioning and more conditioning. Exicuted with less mistakes than the oponent every week. Less turnovers and penalties. These are the things the coaches must pound into Raiders over and over to be contenders this year. Discipline period is what it takes, nothing else. I have been exited obout this class of guys since they were in middle school coming up through the years. They remind me of the 91 - 92 guys. They expect to win because that's what they've done together in the past. I've run my mouth about these guys around town for years now... Let's get it on.
  8. ;D The 91 and 92 Raiders had the most consistency with the best record ever. Hope this year can repeat that success.
