  2. Y'all. Really.  This guy is just trying to stir the pot.  No one in their right mind would say "NOTHING was happening around here til 4 years ago", and MEAN IT.  Would they???  Certainly not anyone who has been around here for very long.

  5. Did you crack open a juicebox? ;D my guess is YESSSSSSSSS........ yum.
  6. It's just one guy's opinion. Probably shouldn't bash anyone willing to help kids....Robert Verde is one of the best, but he isn't the only person out there who knows a thing or two. Give others some credit.
  7. Nederland and Port Neches are pretty well off, considering. Some wind damage, some down power lines and tree limbs, but otherwise, fine. Granted, some buildings look like tornadoes have hit them, but on the whole, that area made out very good.
  8. GUYS!! I said earlier that there were over 100 photos on Kogt.com of bridge city and orange areas. I made it to my house, on Granger drive, across from BC highschool today, by boat via the bayou. Even though kfdm shows texas avenue as dry, they weren't letting anyone in, so we took the boat. Most bayou homes could probably be considered total losses....very upsetting scene. Mine is on piers, about 50 yards from the bayou, and we got about a foot of water in our house, so honestly, was a relief to some extent...there was still water covering the street down the other end of granger, towards pizza hut. So those homes are still under water, as are plenty around town, i'd imagine. This sucks guys, but we will all make it.
  9. guys, kogt.com has tons of photos from today. click photo gallery, events, then hurricane ike. Most are from BC. The photo already posted of the farmers market was yesterday. We went down today, from n ederland to try to get in, and that building has water completely up to the roof. Water backed up all the way to veterans memorial park across from the plant. No, it's not looking good, the photos on kogt speak for themselves. I'm with all of you from BC, I live on Granger, across from the high school, right off the cow bayou bridge. I'm not expecing anything good when I am able to get there. Will try again tomorrow, with the boat, from the 62 side. Will let you know.
  10. All of us bridge city residents are screwed. Go to www.kogt.com, photo gallery, events, hurricane ike. All of BC is under water. And every photo from the bridge by the high school is less than a mile from my house. We have nothing. Can't get it, tried today but couldnt get to the rainbow bridge. water backed up all the way to veterans memorial park, farmers market, completely submerged up to the roof. The photos on teh gallery, are from the bridge over cow bayou, most of them. Some are from town. We will all have problems for quite some time. Just wanted to update you all...i'm at my inlaws in nederland, i rode it out at my folks house down the street, by market basket on 27th in nederland. We made out fine here, just some wind damage, no water anywhere. Limbs down, no power, etc....Orange county residents, like me, are effed. Period.

  12. Well..... With grammar and spelling skills like that, we know what school you did NOT go to..... Any PN-G grad knows why the "focas" is always on them...
  13. Frankly, I'm an equal opportunity mocker, and I wasn't even REALLY TRYING to OFFEND anyone. If you want the honest truth, I don't even have a clue as to who you are. I have no affiliation with any particular player or team(s), so I have no bias. I don't know you or your team so it surely wasn't a jab at your character or theirs. Was supposed to be funny. EXCUUUUUUSE ME!
  14. Ok, I sweated my A$$ OFF out there today.....not a bad game though, good job girls...nice job out there Daman...

  18. Was a fun day, even though JH gave up a million HR's... Don't worry JH you weren't the only one.....but I did stop sweating after I just got to stand out there for a while, and watch them saiiiilll by...ha ;D ;) Our team was 2-0 today. I had the opportunity to play with some great players, young and old. I guess you could call it a daddy/daughter day. I only gave up 4 or 5 HR's on the day. They were BOMBS! Awesome! We won the first, lost the second two, so I went home and took a nap! haha. We lost count as to how many we gave up....it was a nice break for me in left field....hehehehe
