WE HAVE A GOOD COACH. THE KIDS ARE THE ONES WHO HAVE TO PULL THINGS TOGETHER IN THE END, SHE CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH. YES WE COULD SPIN STORYS ABOUT WHAT COULDA SHOULDA OR WOULDA BEEN, BUT IT STILL COMES BACK AROUND TO.........THE KIDS HAVE GOT TO WANT IT!!!!

Well its been a while and still havent seen the girls ALL DISTRICT posted? I know the girls from ~SILSBEE~ I think, but correct me if I miss or am wrong, but all I've seen written down is from Lumberton and the Gold Team so I wouldn't mind knowing who was else was recognized in the district for GIRLS? 1st TEAM ALL DISTRICT Heather Skinner Mary Maina 2nd TEAM ALL DISTRICT Brittany Burrell Shelby Morgan Jamie Smith HONORABLE MENTION Hannah Brooks Kelsey Watson I feel like I missed someone so please add if I did! Sorry ! Just wondering about other shools like Jasper,Livingston,Vidor, since the kids have friends from all over I know they are interested in knowing also. THANKS

IN RESPONSE TO HECKLERS POST ABOUT STARTING FIGHT AFTER GAME. LAST YEAR I WOULD HAVE NEVER TOUCHED THIS POST REPLY, BUT SINCE SETH HAS TAKEN OVER THE SILSBEE COACHING THESE BOYS HAVE DONE A COMPLETE TURN AROUND. IT IS SOCCER GAMES NOW NOT ALL OUT BRAWLS. LAST NIGHT WHEN THE YOUNG BOY YELLED AT THE REFEREE AND GOT IN HIS FACE, WAS NOT NICE, BUT I DONT BLAME THAT CHILD. HE IS A TEENAGER AND FRUSTRATED AS HADES BY SOME OF THE CALLS I TO AGREED TO/DISAGREED WITH , WHAT GOT ME WAS THE COMPLETE UNPROFESSIONALISM OF YOUR COACH DURING HER FIT SHE THROWED. HER CLIPBOARD SEEN MORE AIRTIME THAN THE SOCCER BALL DID. EVEN YOUR OWN PARENTS WAS SLIGHTLY IMBARRESSED BY HER THEY SAID. I SEE WHY THE KIDS THESE DAYS HAVE A LACK OF RESPECT FOR ADULTS/ELDERS/REFEREES EVERY WHERE NOW. BECAUSE SOME OF THE COACHES ACT YOUNGER THAN THEM. AREN'T THEY SUPPOSED TO BE ROLE MODELS? AS I SAID YOU EXPECT IT FROM A KID, BUT NOT AN ADULT. BUT OFF THIS I JUST WANNA SAY THE GIRLS GAME THO WAS AWESOME. BOTH TEAMS PLAYED GREAT GAME. DID GET ROUGH EVERY NOW AND THEN AND CALLS FOR BOTH SIDES KINDA STUNK AT TIMES, BUT THE GIRLS -HAWKS/TIGERS PLAYED GREAT. THIS WAS THE BEST PLAYED GAME I SEEN ALL YEAR. SO KUDDOS TO BOTH TEAMS. GOOD JOB

I've realized that High School parents can be cut throat. I think this is a shame. First off Travis is an awesome coach, overall great guy, and motivates atleast 20 teenage boys to strive to be thier best. The HJ coach also must do this because he has some hardware in his cases to show for it also. Now I was always taught that everyone is equal, be it your color, creed, or nationality. To blame either of these two men with the stuff i've read is crazy. Color didnt win that game in Silsbee last week, determination did, HJ boys wanted that game more than Silsbee that night. Was they talking down thier coach then?? Doubt it. And all that talked Travis down last week are you trashing him tonight with the win. Doubt It! We as parents need to sit back and let things play out. Yes every parent wants thier child to succeed you would be a bad parent if you didnt, but why tear other people down to achieve that. Why cant we say lil johnny's shooting was off, or they shut us down , or even my child just had a bad night. It should be an honor for our kids to represent thier school, expecially with thier talent, but we as parents WE should also honor them and thier coaches for what they have ACHIEVED not what they did or didnt do or what color kid played or who didnt. The coaches play who they think will make them win and it hasnt been a problem obviously because both teams are winners. Let them do thier jobs, heck they couldnt be doing it tooooo bad with the records they have between the two of them. Anyways i'm sorry for the kids whose parents belittle everything they work for just to blame others. Win as a team, lose as a team. And parents we have an option as adults.....If we dont like it we dont gotta go there , be there, or enjoy thier success while they are there. Keep up the good jobs both coaches and KIDS, have fun.... And Silsbee lets all the way this year...

Tuesday-Silsbee Lady Tigers Beat Ozen 8-0 I think, and also Friday 2/1- They beat HJ Hawks 4-0. Good Job Girls keep it up. Got a tough start having 3 tough teams to start with on your schedule , but you'll work the kinks out I'm sure...Seeing the improvement everyday..

yes its Dana Thornton (silsbee High Coach) or Megan O'quinn (Kountze High Coach)......They have chosen teams up to now, but may still have opening.......we practice wed. and sundays. wed-7-9 at silsbee high gym and sunday 4 or 5 - ? ? same place

If havent found out by now there are sevral to choose from.....JCJ and HCJ(Hardin County Jr's) We are starting practices now...Its out of Silsbee...JCJ I think is Nederland/Port Neches and heard ther was OCG (orange county Jr)
