Many open tryouts prospects are asked to line up and are timed , if after 2 sprints your time did not meet their standard you are asked to leave before pulling your glove and bat out ! Size does matter, fastball cant be overlooked, athleticism, grades,and attitude. How to get noticed ? Reputation of high school program and its coach , select ball at certain large forums, college camps, film packages mailed to colleges that meet that certain prospects abilities and intelligence, and sometimes it is who you know or right place at right time !
