For that matter, so did Jasper beat Hudson. Of course it was early in the year, but I think the score was like 15-0. Not sure what all this means, but it may mean that Hudson was a bit over-rated.

No Jasper is Def. the underdog here BC has beaten them 2 times this year!! And twice makes them BIG underdogs.

I agree, I think the one-gamers should be out-lawed unless mutually agreed. On the other hand, as long as one-gamers are the rule the coach's job is to go for every available option that he thinks might help his team. It may well back-fire. Nothing is for sure in sports. But for the pitching, Jasper is not without pitching. They still have both pitchers who won games at state last year. Plus, Cord Yates did a good job against Bellville. Derrick Sowell has pitched well for Jasper since coming up from the JV. You may get to see them all Friday night. And in no particular order.

and perhaps a 4a district or two. Seriously. I watched Houston Scarbourough play Huntsville yesterday. Poor Scarbourough got one runner on base for the two games they played, and that was on a walk. Yesterday, they didn't even get that. And they were their district champions. Huntsville is good, but not THAT good. Jasper beat them 9-5 in the Jasper tournament.

Bellville did do something today not many teams have ever done. They picked both Hart and Bronson off first in the same game. Of course, ultimately it did them little good. Just may have kept the margin a little closer and perhaps kept them from being ten-run ruled. On the other hand, Bellville hurried some throws and made errors trying to beat Jasper's speed. Those things seem to even out over time.
