Brittany is a fantastic person with an unbelievable work ethic. I have known and coached her for years. I can't wait to go watch Brittany and Mem play each other in Houston!

Memri is a fantastic person. I have had opportunity to coach her in AAU for several years and she deserves everything she gets!

The game was ugly. Lots of ugly shots, ugly turnovers, etc. As bleed said, the officiating had a lot to do with contributing to the ugliness. When OF gets out of volleyball mode, and gets some shooting time in their offense will catch up with their defense. They will be very difficult to beat then.

Orangefield should be the top team, depending on keeping everyone healthy, etc. WOS will be number 2 with Brittany and Janae. WOS will also have another very good player at the post spot that was injured last year. Silbee number 3 with H-F fighting for that spot as well.

It is very difficult to decide the best player in the area because it is hard to compare different positions. For instance, the best post player in the area in my opinion is Courtney Wilson. She has the size and athletic ability to dominate games. The best 4 in the area is Memri Carmon, she can post you up and make a great post move, or she can take it outside and kill you with the 3. Best 3 in the area, Chelsea Pickering, she is athletic and kills you with her competitiveness. She never stops moving and just makes it happen. Best 2, KK Little. She can shoot the ball extremely well and is quick enough to take you to the basket. Best 1, Brittany Scott and Kristy Sanders. Brittany is the quickest female I have ever seen and jumps very quickly. She has improved her shooting and is great at penetrating defenses. Kristy understands the game and is great at seeing the entire floor. She knows when to slow it down and when it is time to run. Good shooter and passer, and excellent defensive player. Most versatile player is Jessica Shores, she can, and will play anywhere on the court. Very unselfish and will go inside and fight it out with much taller players for rebounds. Great passer and shooter.

The fact that China Springs only had 3 players score in the championship game, and two of them graduated says a lot about how out of touch the people doing the rating are. China Springs will never be that good this year.

And.... Kristy is a wonderful player but what makes OF so good is the fact that they have several good players. Let any of them free and they will make you pay.

The question is, does the young lady from Kirbyville have any help? That is the problem with most people's mindset about basketball. That is why our NBA players go and lose in international basketball. Face the facts, Great TEAMS always beat great players.

It is going to be so fun to watch, I can't hardly wait. No doubt, the 3 playoff teams, OF, Silsbee, WOS. Everyone is overlooking what WOS is going to bring to the table this year. Brittany Scott is the best player in the district in my opinion with an unbelievable work ethic and a lot of pride.

Don't misunderstand, there is no question that Silsbee is a good team. I don't think there is anyone at OF that will underestimate ya'll. I also know that if OF doesn't play well, that ya'll can beat us. All I am saying is that if OF performs like they should, they will be extremely difficult to beat. This is OF's year to make it a long way. I can't wait to watch it.

Best players in the area are: Brittany Scott, Memri Carmen, ChelseaPickering, Courtney Wilson, Brandi Fowler, Kristy Sanders, KK Little, Jessica Shores. I haven't seen the girl from Kirbyville play, but I understand she is good. Of course it depends on what you are basing it on. I for one look for the complete game, if all you can do is score, then you aren't all that good. What I wanna see is assists/points/steals/rebounds. Put all that together and then you decide who the best players are.

kinda sounds similar to Silsbee vs. OF. Silsbee hasn't beaten OF in years, and with virtually all of OF's team back, it won't happen this year either. OF is the best team in the area.

Well, OF has 4 starters coming back too. Can't remember the last time Silsbee beat them.

Lumberton is good, but they lost several players who were great role players. OF played Lumberton last year and it was a draw. In the game Lumberton won, the kids who graduated made a huge impact. Don't see it happening this year. Chelsea and Courtney are great players, but it is hard for 2 kids to beat a team as deep as OF.

This list is going to look much different after the first month of the season. Just to mention one, China Springs only had 3 girls score off of the entire team in the state championship game. 2 of them graduated. One player does not come close to making a team the number one team in the state.

Yep, the top teams in the area are OF, Lumberton, Silsbee, WOS. Don't write off WOS just yet. They lost one Brittany, but the other is tough and extremely competetive. Don't forget about Janae, she dropped 25+ on OF last year.
