  1. I wouldn't exactly call Liberty one of the little guys. They were always in the hunt for the district title in the old district. Their chances are way better now that BH and Huffman are gone, but I don't see them knocking off Cleveland.
  2. Cleveland will win that district with Liberty second and Shepherd third.
  3. Tarver has one of the best coaching records in the state of Texas. I'm pretty sure coaching had a lot to do with it. True, the athletes are the ones on the field making the plays, but it takes two parts to make a successful team. Good coaching and good athletes.

  5. Bridge City will face Cleveland in the bidistrict round next Tuesday at 7:00 at West Brook. Best of luck to the Cards throughout their playoff run!!
  6. After you get on 69 South you will take the Beauxart Garden/Spurlock Road exit. Take a left back under 69 and the school is about 1 or 2 miles down on the right.
  7. Orangefield (26-6) will play Liberty (16-9) in the bidistrict round of the playoffs. The game is set for Tuesday night in Nederland at 8:00 as part of a doubleheader. H-J girls will play Huffman in the first game at 6:00.
  8. Man, I missed my prediction by three points!
  9. Congrats on the district championship and throughout the playoffs!!
  10. We got a decent lead early on, 10 or so, but let them work their way back into it. Pretty much nip and tuck the whole game. We usually get a lot of points off turnovers by our defensive pressure but it wasn't really there tonight. The girls seemed kind of sluggish to me on the offensive end. We got the win and no injuries headed into the playoffs.
  11. I was at the game coop and OF won 43-39. That other score is from the second district game between the two. OF is the second place team.
  12. Orangefield won 43-39. Where did you get that score?
  13. For those interested the game can be heard on KOGT 1600 am or at kogt.com
  14. I hope you are right. I heard they were going to have to take the light poles down and reset them in the ground because the concrete was cracked? I hope they don't have to do that and they get lights by the start of the regular season. My cousin plays for BC and I wouldn't be able to take off work to go watch 4:30 games.
  15. Some good ones coming up Friday!! Liberty @ Orangefield Bridge City @ Silsbee WOS @ Woodville Saturday 12 Noon PN-G will Host Lufkin and Bryan
  16. Come on out to the Bear Cave Friday night Coop. Oh, and if you do be sure to wear your orange!! GO LADY CATS!!!
  17. Bridge City won't have lights this season and will have to play all day games at home. I heard they are going to have to move the games to 4:30 and possibly have some Saturday games as well.
  18. 1. Bridge City 2. WO-S 3. Orangefield/Hardin-Jefferson
  19. 1. Jasper 2. Silsbee 3. Buna/Kirbyville
  20. Who does your team scrimmage to get the season going? Orangefield @ LC-M (Tuesday, 4:30) Bridge City @ Buna (Monday, 5:00) WOS @ BH (Tuesday, 4:30)
