Lamar University and Lamar State College Port Arthur are teaming up again this year for our 3rd annual Strike Out Cancer Event! On Halloween, we are hosting a Haunting for a Cure 5K Fun Run at 9am. We are then playing an exhibition game at LSCPA's Martin Field at 1:00pm. To register for the 5K visit [Hidden Content] or contact Coach Honkofsky at [email protected] for donation, 5K or Strike Out Cancer game information. The last two years we have raised over $10,000 for the Southeast Texas chapter of the American Cancer Society! Please help us surpass that goal this year!

Holds single-season strike out record, 2-time All-Conference pitcher, program record-holder for strikeouts. Hitting/Infield Lessons: Paige Ortiz. Fordham Univeristy. Katy, Texas native. Played for Houston Power. 3-time conference champion, NCAA regional appearances. Conference tournament Most Valuable Player, 1st team all-conference and all-rookie team honoree.
