  1. Congrats to Taylor Gilbert and his rocket over the fence! ;D Great job Vidor! You played an awesome game-lots of super catches, great hits and excellent base running!! This is an impressive group of kids and coaches. Good luck tomorrow night.
  2. Why would you respond negatively about a bunch of 8 year olds who played their best????? If you can't say anything nice, you should not say anything at all. Congrats GT. Good luck in the World Series!
  3. Posted on KOGT: A one vehicle accident early Saturday morning in Hartburg claimed the life of Dustin Lairsey (left). The 17 year old was a junior at Deweyville HS and quarterback of the football team this past season. Jacob Burris (right) was also in the vehicle but did not have any life threatening injuries. Athletic Director Russell McDaniel said Lairsey was a tough competitor who hated to lose at anything. "He will be missed," he said Our love and prayers go out to the Dupuy family.
  4. I have to give the Deweyville Pirates my vote. H-J has the size, but the Pirates have HEART!!! GO PIRATES!
  5. ROUGHRIDERS RED (11 & UNDER) The Roughrider Red 11U AAA will be hosting tryouts for the spring season. The Roughriders were organized in 2002 and have put together six competitive teams ranging from 7 to 13 years old. If you are interested in playing Roughrider Baseball please call, Rickey Hicks 409-626-2348.
  6. Congratulations and good luck to those in All-Stars!
  7. OK...today is the All-Star picks. Let's see if the coaches really pick the best players to represent Orange or are they going to hold a grudge. Congrats A's on winning the Directors tournament.
  8. In OYBS, the Shetland group (ages 5-6) allow parent requests. One team had lots of parents requests. They are an awesome group of players. Not only did the team members have some talent to start with, they also practiced 4 times a week at the beginning of the season and 3 times during spring break!!!! All the coaches had the same opportunity to practice and work with their team. Many did not seize the chance. Now that the season is almost over, one coach has decided to try and get other coaches to boycott the players off that team for All-Stars. Not sure how that will show a true representation of the talent in Orange.
  9. Our prayers are with you and your family.
