1. I know Duane Joubert is a football guy.  I personally think he is a class act!  Does he want to be a head football coach?  I know at one point, he was assisting with football, but decided to stay inside for personal reasons.  As a matter of fact I asked him about coaching football a few years ago.  I think he would be a great coach in any sport.  He reminds me a lot like one of the best, Fred Williams.  Of course, this is my opinion.
2. I agree with the statement that great programs start with the junior high programs, look at Lumberton, that is where Coach Credeur started.  He built a foundation, before building the house.  I personally believe that coach Stewart acted to soon, he should have rode it out.  I'm not dogging him out, however, there is a picture that comes to mind, about the frog hanging out of a stork's mouth about to be swallowed, the frog has his hands around the stork's throat, preventing the stork from swallowing him.  The saying on the picture, " Don't ever give up!". As far as the board is concerned, there needed to be some new blood up there.  I personally do not blame them, sometimes you have to at least try to make something happen.  Kountze needs an attitude that is instilled in their mind, that they can be winners.  If it happened for L- train, it can happen to Kountze.  To blame it on the parents, that ridiculous!  One more thing, and I'm just curious. What football coach after leaving Kountze has gone on to win a state title or that has even went two deep in the playoffs?  I'm not being mean, I wish everybody involved the best in whatever their future holds.  Sincerely Gerald Walden.
3. Hey dawggonit, have you read all the post?  Nobody is dawging out Cade.  Period.  And get your facts straight, Trey does not move to second when Richard is pitching.  And your right this is going to be a good team.  But I watch the games, I have seen all these kids pitch.  And there is no good reason not to pitch Trey.  He is the most dominate pitcher on the team.  However, I'm not taking anything away from the other pitchers, because they do a good job as well.  And as far as UTfan, yes everybody knows who he is.  And a matter of fact, he is one of Kountze's biggest fans.  I'm sure he did not mean anything bad toward Cade.  And I thought he did play high school baseball or was on the team.  Let me clear something else up, Cade doesnt need you to come to his defense.  Everybody that knows Cade, knows that he is a good kid, a hard worker and a good little pitcher.  Now, you should have nothing else to say.  This should be the end of the subject.  Have a wonderful day.
4. Hey Aggie by Birth, it sounds like your a coach from Kountze.  There is no need in you getting your feelings hurt by someone posting that the pitcher is a fourth string pitcher.  Yor comment about him being the only one that doesnt tire out is incorrect.  And it sounds like your putting the other pitchers down from Kountze.  You need to look at the glass as half way full!  But Mr. Degree, this is a forum and these are peoples opinions.  And by the way, having a degree doesnt mean you know baseball.  There are coaches who were in the band and have never played baseball.  Hardin came out in the first two innings and crushed the ball, it happens.  However the pitcher (Cade Deaver)from Kountze got in his groove and did awesome.  But he was throwing slower as the game went on, throwing good though keeping the ball low.  Its the last inning, the game is tied and Hardin has the top of their line up coming up.  Now at this point in the game there should have been a pitching change either Trey Walden or Travis Hoke.  Both of these boys have alot more speed.  After seeing Cade the whole game, changing the speed would have messed up Hardins timing (baseball 101).  This would not have guaranteed the win, but most likely have made it go into extra innings.  Giving us a chance for a win (Coaching decision).  And by the way, our bats were dead. However I have to give credit to the kid from Hardin, his fastball was not fast, but he had a good little curve ball.  One more thing, I do not know why Trey Walden is not pitching, it seems the coach is more concerned about next year than this year...  ???
5. I went to watch this one in Buna tonight. Thought this would be a good one, and it was. Buna's O-line and D-line were awesome! However, the officiating was pathetic. Kountze was called for two pass interference calls, that should have never been called. And after watching Sports extra tonight, the Kountze running back was not out of bounds on the pass play before halftime. If I was coaching I would not want any of these refs calling any of my games. I know that refs are not perfect, but it seemed like they had trouble all night on spotting the ball. Again, just terrible officiating! Final note: Both teams did a good job of not turning over the ball, except for Kountze's turn over at the end of the game. Buna's kicker and punter did an excellent job! Its' my opinion that if the officiating would have been better, that this game would have been a nail biter until the end. And that Kountze probably would have pulled this one off.
6. I do not know about the infield for Silsbee, but I have seen them play and they should have three real good pitchers. I do not know all of their names, but one is the McDonald kid and another is a lefty probably about 6'2". And if there on, and if their pitchers will have some run support, they will compete for a playoff spot.
7. The only Granger that I ever heard of was a kid name Jeff, and if I'm not mistaken, he was a pretty good athlete. If this Granger is a coach at Buna. Is he a junior high coach? Jeff Granger from Orangefield was an excellent athlete....football and baseball. Went to A&M. Now that you stated that, I do remember Jeff Granger. He started at quarterback for A&M in a few games. And played baseball for our beloved Aggies; but who is this Bobby Earl Granger. I have been in Southeast Texas all of my life, and I have never heard of a Bobby Earl Granger. But if he is a junior high coach for Buna and is around baseball. He will learn alot from Buna's Head baseball coach. Coach Terrier.

9.
Sportsman it is great to be excited about Kountze this year. I agree that the baseball team will be pretty dawg gone good. Should win District, i don't think so! Kountze made the playoffs and only lost one kid. They only lost to Buna by 1 run both district games, So yes they should be excited. Now, Buna lost 3 starters and went 4 rounds deep in the playoffs. Kountze got beat the first round. Buna went 11-1 in district and Kountze did not give Buna their lose, so untill the Champs are beaten they should be the favorite. So that being said I'm not sure that Kountze is shoe in to win district but they should be in the mix. I hope Buna can play like they did last year and I hope both Kountze and Buna will represent the district well in the playoffs. But we have not even started yet! Best of luck to all teams in 24-2A should be alot of fun watching this year.
Bobcat55, I have seen alot of your post on football and baseball.  It seems to me that you really favor Buna.  I know Orangefield is the Bobcats.  Could it be that your from Orangefield and now coaching in Buna?  However, 24-2a as well as 21-3a should be very exciting districts to watch this year.  And I agree, best of luck to all the teams.
10. Whats going on with last years 2a power houses?
11. Good job Hardin on a great season.
12. Go get'em Hardin.
13. There have been negative post all year long about Lumberton. And after Lumberton beat Dayton, people started talking that negative crap on Dayton. The fact is Lumberton is in there. And if you don't believe there real, ask the opposing coaches that have faced them this year. Best of luck to Lumberton, Dayton and PNG. Lets make the rest of the state talk about the Southeast Texas teams. And as far as the seed issue, "quit crying", your in the playoffs.
14. Good job Raiders. Go gett'em in round 2.
15. Good season East Chambers. Keep your heads up.
16. How much time is left in the game?
17. Saying, are you still out there?
18. Did anybody play Newton close in district?
19. I knew Newton would win. Just not so easy.
