  1. Paying off? Zero runs against Kirbyville is not much of a payoff. Here's a picture of the Buna Baseball Drummers before the Kirbyville game the other night: Very nice ... ;D ;D :D
  2. Kountze didnt beat kirbyville last year .. when did kountze beat kirbyville since so many ppl are saying they did??
  3. or Kirbyville .. they gotta kid Fred Ford whos gonna be real real good he'll be a sophomore .. maybe not the best next year but in the years to come watch out
  4. any word where theyre playing at?? and what time??
  5. no one ever quit on a game last year and no one had that mind set .. we played every game to win and played hard throughout the whole game never giving up .. there's no whining in baseball and we never whined
  6. maybe you didnt hit because the pitching was good .. how come when a team hits bad its all on the hitters why cant the opposing pitcher get some credit maybe he pitched good maybe thats why they didnt hit ..
  7. The taks test doesnt affect athletes .. its an easy test .. and if they have finance problems they can get financial aid to pay their entire way including lodging some of my friends have financial aid that pays their way .. so those arent reasons to be down for a baseball game .. and besides once you step on the field you are supposed to have your mind on baseball only nothing else .. congrats on the win cats hope you do much better than last years team did
  8. Musgrove doesn't go to an outside coach. He let's his coaches coach him. It's called trusting the system. the system doesnt always work for all kids .. Musgrove would be great on any team no matter who the coach was he is a natural
  9. Kirbyville beat kountze last year actually
  10. Yes Eagledad, it seems that folks forget that Newton is a 2A school, and as such, has a stadium comparable to most larger 2A schools. It should be a great game Friday night, and I hope both teams play to their best abilities. Good luck to both, as both are headed into the playoffs and should give every other 2A teams in the state a run for their money. GO CATS!!
  11. Also, the accident happened before any students had been picked up that morning.
  12. I can confirm the death of a bus driver up there. My uncle is a preacher in SH and he told me about the accident a few weeks back and told me about the driver passing away Monday night.
  13. I was at the game, and Kirbyville could have put 100 on the board if Alvarez had wanted to. Shelbyville was just overmatched. Alvarez seemed to tone things down after the first quarter. But you have to remember, you have to play your starters to keep them in shape. After the IKE mess, they need playing time. And this isn't Pee Wee, it is the job of the defense to stop the offense. No running up the score in this one.
  14. Hard to believe that Cat fans can't see that we still are making way to many mistakes to beat a team like WOS. It is unfortunate that once again we have to cancel because of a storm. That being said, I really wish this game could have been played. It is a no win situation for WOS. IF they win, they should beat a 2 school; if they loose, how shameful to loose to a 2A school. I do think KV is better than last year, but the defense has a ways to go. I just hope they get is squared away by Newton.
  15. Yeah thats true that is exactly the rule but if the penalty isnt called then its irrelevant .. I'm sure there were ALOT of penalties that didnt called on both sides of the ball thats how football goes .. If you wanna watch every single play of every single down im sure 80-90% of the time there is a penalty that goes unnoticed just let it go and quit trying to make excuses to why you're 3a team lost to a 2a team and just move on..
  16. Kirbyville High School Mikey Adams: Left field, P; Top 10, high ranking male student; National Honor Society 3yrs
  17. what does this have to do with anything said about this topic? ??? ?
  18. If it is not okay for the players to go and they "broke the rules" so kicking them off the team is okay then should the coach still be a part of the team because he too was at the tournament, a place that was "off limits" so if you punish the kids then why doesn't the coach get punished?? Does he not have to abide by his own rules??
  19. This is exactly true...and there has to be more to the story. there is nothing more to the story and now they are back on team i hear but nothing was blew outta proportion they were off the team.. the only thing blew outta proportion was the persons actions that kicked them off the team.. i guess that person came to his senses..
  20. I have to agree....there has to be more to this story. The only thing more to the story was that they were told not to play in the ragball tournament
  21. an intramurual sport gamewith the basic concept of baseball. Most the time you have seven boys and four girls play every position with a rover player. You must bat all 11 players it must be boy girl bgbgbg then bbb batting order. Played on your average softball field. Lots of fun.
  22. Well its still there free time and they should be able to do what they want. I can understand them getting in trouble for playing but just watching a game its stupid
