  1. Dan Wheeler has been traded to Tampa Bay for Third Baseman Ty Wigginton. Some numbers from Wigginton this season: .275 BA, 16 HR, 49 RBI I would say that now that the Astros have gotten another 3B to look for Ensberg, Lamb, or Loretta to be traded soon. [Hidden Content]
  2. [Hidden Content] First Team C: Roy Hibbert, Georgetown: Hibbert will get better and better up front as the Hoyas have diaper dandies coming in to help the backcourt. F: Tyler Hansbrough, North Carolina: Hansbrough is simply as tough as they come and he will anchor what could be a tough North Carolina frontcourt next season. F: Brandon Rush, Kansas: Rush has to bounce back from a knee injury but he should come on strong next season. G: Chris Lofton, Tennessee: Tennessee and coach Bruce Pearl are jumping for joy with Lofton back as the Vols should be favored to win the tough SEC East behind their floor leader. G: Drew Neitzel, Michigan State: This is a special backcourt with Tom Izzo's version of Mr. Clutch in Neitzel. Drew has had a fabulous career in East Lansing and I'm sure he'd love to cap it cutting down the nets at the end of the season. SECOND TEAM C-F: Joseph Jones, Texas A&M: The senior from Normangee, Texas should have a monster year this year and he could surprise some teams with his athleticism. F: Chase Budinger, Arizona: I love Budinger up front for the Wildcats, but not as much as coach Lute Olsen must. Budinger has the ability to not only pound the ball inside, but he also has a nifty little mid-range game. F: Jon Brockman, Washington: Washington may not get a lot of press, but Brockman is going to be legit for them this season and anchor their front line. G: Sean Singletary, Virginia: Singletary is going to have a super season for the Cavaliers this season as they could surprise some teams behind the guard from Philadelphia. G: Chris Douglas-Roberts, Memphis: Coach John Calipari has to be excited to have Douglas-Roberts back this season as the best player on a Memphis team that will compete for the national championship. THIRD TEAM C: Brook Lopez, Stanford: Brook and his twin brother Robin will block out the sun this season for Stanford. F: DJ White, Indiana: White will welcome Eric Gordon to Bloomington, which takes some pressure off of the big man up front. F: G: Martin Zeno, Texas Tech: With Jarrius Jackson gone, Zeno needs to be a consistent factor for Bob Knight for the Red Raiders to be a force this season. G: Darren Collison, UCLA: Collison doesn't have Arron Afflalo on his side but he'll enjoy getting the ball to diaper dandy Kevin Love. G: Dominic James, Marquette: He made Marquette head coach Tom Crean a happy man by pulling out of the draft. FOURTH TEAM C: David Padgett, Louisville: Hopefully this Padgett will be as good for coach Rick Pitino as Scott Padgett was for Pitino at Kentucky. F: Richard Hendrix, Alabama: Hendrix is a force inside for 'Bama and could be the key to a surprising year for the Tide. F: Raymar Morgan, Michigan State: He had a good season last year, but Morgan is going to step it up even more for Izzo's squad. G: Aaron Bruce, Baylor: How about some love for Baylor's Bruce, an All-Big 12 talent, baby! G: Ronald Steele, Alabama: The Tide must have a healthy Steele running the offense. FIFTH TEAM C: Aleks Maric, Nebraska: Maric is an underrated big man capable of putting up double-doubles for the Cornhuskers. F: Brandon Costner, NC State: Costner should have a big season and could be dancing with the Wolfpack! F: Josh Shipp, UCLA: He'll be shipping big points for the Bruins and Ben Howland this season. G: Marcellus Kemp, Nevada: Coach Mark Fox is happy to have Kemp returning to Nevada. G: Ty Lawson, North Carolina: Lawson will be even more special with a year's experience under his belt.
  3. Not looking good for today! Astros losing 7-2 in the 6th.
  4. stros lose 4-3...remain winless since the break :
  5. Former Texas A&M forward Antanas Kavaliauskas is going to sign with the Rockets as a free agent.
  6. I was hoping Acie wouldn't go to Atlanta. Oh, well. Go Hawks! Congrats to Mr. Law
  7. According to the Enterprise, the game Saturday will not be on tv in SE Texas! That would suck not being able to see Biggio hit his 3000th!
  8. Astros lose again Wednesday. Bullpen gave up a three run homerun in the 11th to give the Brewers the sweep. The positive news is that there is only 84 games left in the season.
  9. I dont actually think Denis was serious about that point....although if Biggio would be willing to take out a "reliever" when it is obvious they aren't throwing well, then I might be for it!
  10. I'll be a big fan of whatever team Acie plays for....it would be great if he happened to go to my favorite team! I am afraid he is heading to Atlanta though.
  11. 2,993 on Friday. Biggio did no play today.
  12. the bullpen sucked again tonight and blew another lead.
  13. Hate to hear things like this. I hope everything works out well for him.
  14. Biggio hit 2,991 and 2,992 Tuesday night against the Angels.
